Cuando perdí mis amadas gafas de sol con receta en el océano, ¡Elena fue realmente servicial, paciente e hizo que la magia sucediera! Dentro de 30 min. Tenía un nuevo par de gafas de sol para continuar con mis vacaciones muy soleadas en BCN.
Sorprendido por el servicio al cliente transfronterizo, ¡pero especialmente amable Elena!

Ayer les pedí anteojos nuevos, y el personal fue muy servicial y paciente conmigo mientras trataba de encontrar un marco adecuado. Fueron acogedores, burbujeantes y orientados al cliente. Volveré con una actualización después de que lleguen mis anteojos para compartir el tiempo de espera (sin embargo, necesito lentes especiales, por lo que podría no ser tan relevante). Además, sus precios son muy competitivos.
No ofrecen la posibilidad de tener lentes atenuados, sin embargo tienen opción de clip-on.
Actualización: mis anteojos llegaron en una semana y un día, según me dijeron. El tipo fue muy útil y se aseguró de hacer los ajustes necesarios para que mis anteojos quedaran perfectamente.

More details: Two years ago, I bought glasses from this branch of Ace&Tate. Four days after the expiry of the two-year warranty period, one of the temples suddenly broke when I took off the glasses. According to an optician I asked, this damage cannot be repaired. I contacted Ace&Tate and they kindly agreed to extend my warranty period by four days. So far so good. However, when I sent them photos of the broken frame as requested, they replied that the damage is not covered by the warranty since the point where the temple has detached has a rough surface. According to them, this implies that it was caused by wear and tear and not a production fault that would lead to a clean break. Which may be, I'm no expert in material science. But if normal wear and tear cause this after only two years, then I have to conclude that the quality of the glasses is very bad. I have always handled them with care. And the two pairs of glasses I owned before, from different companies, each lasted more than 10 years. They offered me a meager 15 Euro as credit for new glasses which I refused since I will not spend more money on products by Ace&Tate that may well again break after a short amount of time.

Update after the response from Ace&Tate: It makes complete sense to me that normal wear and tear is not covered by the warranty. This is not my point. But since Ace&Tate concluded that the glasses had no production fault and were thus made according to their standards, I conclude that they are of low quality. Hence I will not waste any additional money on their products (they increased the credit to 25 Euro after my first review which, however, is still not nearly enough to replace the frame).

Stumbled upon this place walking around Barcelona. The glasses are incredibly slick! We have nothing like this in the United States…. Yet. Just dropped a few hundred bucks!

Also: Highly recommend working with Alan. Incredibly good at what he does. Great guy!
