I took the Gaudí Modernism tour with Patrick. First and foremost, I appreciate Patrick being available on 12/26, when other guides cancelled tours last minute. Patrick reached out to confirm my booking and meeting place. It was seamless.

Patrick gave us a history of the Catalonians as a foundation of our tour. He explained the society and the changes of the building and influences. Patrick gave us great detail into the architecture and interpretation of Gaudí. It was so insightful. We took the metro for two stops to the Sagrada Familia where Patrick gave us details of the multiple sides of the sculptures and towers. The description Patrick provided was far more extensive than when I took the Sangrada Familia tour/tower climb the next day. So, I’m glad that I took the tour with Patrick first or I would have missed a lot of the history and detail.

The pace was great. We had a great discussion of architecture and history on our tour. Patrick knows his history and details of the tour. He opened our eyes to more than “Hey, that’s a cool building”. He is thoughtful and funny. I had a great time on his tour. I highly recommend booking this tour with Patrick.

We did a tour with Patrick and he was extremely personable and knowledgable. The tour provided a relatively laid back and relaxing opportunity to learn more about the details of the architecture and history of the the city that we otherwise would have missed! In October 2022, we went with Be Local Tours on a tour in the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona and we really enjoyed it, honestly. Patrick, our guide, was very funny and showed us many interesting things. It's always important to understand the guide and since he is a native speaker, we had no problem to catch all his words. We appreciate that he took care of us. We highly recommend this tour (with him) but I believe this company in general is trustworthy and you won't be disappointed if you meet a different guide.

Get Patrick! He’s the best guide I ever had in a long time. Professional actor and historian, he took us through Gaudi’s life by showing his buildings and telling his anecdotes. We saw 5-7 buildings, amazing for pictures, and la Sagrada Família was the most insane thing I ever experience in my life when I first saw it.

Patrick speaks with passion and knowledge, his presentation was like being in an outdoors theater. Go for it. The stories are amazing, the city is beautiful but only good guide can bring it all to life like Patrick did.

Patrick is an excellent guide and knows the ins and outs of Barcelona. My friends and I took the Gaudi free walking tour with him and we had a blast! Patrick explained the history behind the Catalan Modernism architecture movement and he spotlighted the designs, and the meaning of the decorations of the houses that we passed through as we walked down the Passeig de Gracia. I now realize how blind I was prior to his tour!

I don't actually think it's possible to understand Gaudi and his contemporaries without someone like Patrick showing you the meanings and history. So if you really want to know why the funky buildings look the way they are, you have to take this tour.

A naturally gifted storyteller, Patrick brought the modernism movement to life with his explanation of its history, main actors who played influential roles in it, and how it shapes the city of Barcelona. Would recommend.
