Marcel was a fantastic tour guide. His knowledge of Montserrat was great (and his humor). We are not fans of tour groups as we like to go on our own, but this was very well organized and we had some time on our own to explore. This tour group made the day go very smoothly. Also liked that the winery was accommodating for food allergies for the tapas portion.

Pep and crew were excellent hosts - very knowledgeable of the area and its history - also, very personable group, which is super important in these kinds of tours - we highly recommend!

Not sure why this tour company is highly rated. Perhaps most people do the wine tour and the wine makes them happy? The tour for the Highlights of Montserrat felt rushed and we spent more time transferring from buses and picking up/dropping off people from other tours who had a wine tour. They do not tell you about this in advance. I would had preferred to have had those extra 30 mins to be at Montserrat. There was barely any time to go to the bathroom. There was a lot of talking and not a lot of time for doing. I would had saved half of the talking for the bus so that people can hit the grounds of Montserrat once they arrive. I also think the tour guide does not do a good job of recommending the options of things to do while at Montserrat given that you only have 1 hr of free time. Why recommend to go to the top of the cross if it's going to take almost the full free time? We did not have 1.5 hrs (like the website suggested) of free time at Montserrat more like 1 hr and 15 mins at the Basilica. The tour guide was personable enough and perhaps would be better in smaller groups but I preferred other guides I've had in Barcelona. The tour does not feel intimate or like we got to know the tour guide and viceversa. Don't be fooled and think that because they divide the group in smaller groups of 10-20 people it would be intimate. I would recommend going to Montserrat on your own or with a tour company that focuses on ACTUAL smaller groups. Montserrat was beautiful and it deserves to be visited in a less rushed manner.

We did the full day wine and Tapas tour in Montserrat with Castlexperience wine tours on our first ever trip to Spain and it was amazing! Our tour guide Violetta was wonderful, delivering plenty of historical info with light jokes and fun vibes along the way. We visited the Monastery and then a local vineyard that's been around for many generations where we had a lovely lunch with fantastic food and then a private tasting in the castle. This experience was wonderful and Violetta truly made it special for us. Definitely book it!

My friends and I were so glad we did this tour! Two of us had been to Barcelona many times, but we were with our partners who had never been, so we decided to try a new way to see Montserrat and the surrounding area. Montserrat is always a treat, and our tour guide was efficient and knowledgeable, and knew how to avoid the crowds. However, the real highlight was the wine tasting in a castle/winery originally built in the 800s! Mareck was a super fun and engaging guide throughout the day, and the winery pleasantly surprised us with the quality of wine and experience. I really enjoyed sitting with my group, meeting everyone, eating tapas and learning a bit (but not too much) about the wines. I am one of those people who is always nervous to do "touristy things", and am a bit of a skeptic. So, I can confidently say that if you are looking for a day trip in Barcelona, this is a great one!

Wow! We had such an amazing tour with Nuria and loved every moment of our visit! The tour itself was seamless in its execution and was a full day event to Montserrat, including lunch and a wine tasting. Nuria was so fantastic, super receptive to questions, loved providing interesting trivia, and had quite the great sense of humour! We really loved having the day planned worry free, it made it so easy to sit back and enjoy and know we would see as much as possible! Really appreciated having Nuria speak in English as well and to have a person to converse with not just an audio tour headset. Such a great time and also very thankful for A/C on the buses!

Nerea was an excellent guide to our tours. She gave us a beautiful experience that was balanced with information and free time to explore on our own. If you are heading to Barcelona, this needs to be on your list… and don’t forget to include the winery!

The Montserrat and wine tour is a must do if you're visiting Barcelona! I would highly recommend requesting Jennifer as a tour guide. I don't think the experience would had been as great if it wasn't for Jennifer. She has so much knowledge about Montserrart and Barcelona. She was able to piece everything together in a very entertaining way. She also is super friendly and helpful in answering any questions you have about Spain!

Beautiful scenery, great history, fantastic winery with interesting background. Highlight, however, was the energy and passion brought to the wine experience and Catalonian culture by our tour guide, Anays. She truly turned a great tour into something exceptional! We booked the full 9 hour tour with the Monastery, lunch and wine tasting and were very impressed with the whole experience.

The group is split into smaller groups, each with its own tour guide which makes it easy to follow and listen to the guide and avoids being crowded with lots of people. It's a really well organized and thought out experience.

Anays, our guide, was very lively, fun and full of interesting facts about wine and our attractions. She is a great tour guide and really went above and beyond to make our visit fun and memorable.

Best tour I've ever been on. A perfect balance of information, free time and beautiful surroundings. The wine tasting was a really unique experience and very reasonably priced to buy a bottle to take home.

I took the “Montserrat, Tapas & Wine” tour on April 11,2022 with my husband and my daughter who is studying abroad in Barcelona. This tour was absolutely perfect and well choreographed. The guides on the short bus ride (about an hour) gave us a brief history about Catalan culture and the city of Barcelona. Once off the bus at the monastery, my tour guide Nerea was excellent and entertaining and also personable. I love how she had us all introduce ourselves to the group. She told us all about the monastery and gave us free time to explore. Once back on the bus we made our way on a 10 minute drive to the beautiful winery called Oller del Mas. We gathered in a meeting room and enjoyed delicious tapas while Nerea introduced and discussed three different wines to taste. Afterwards we had ample free time to enjoy the winery until we gathered once again for the bus ride back into the city. My family and I had a wonderful day and I highly recommend this tour!

Only to recommend! Stunning landscape, interesting & entertaining insight in the history and traditions of the Monserrat region and monastery.
Our tourguide Jon was THE BEST! He was very nice, organized, authentic and well informed. He made our day! And we are convinced that we made his day Any boss should be lucky to have such a comitted and likeable employee!
We were so glad to have him as a guide that we offered him a membership in our club “Kondschafter” (winelovers from Luxembourg).
Definitely a day we will remember.

Esta excursió va ser una experiència meravellosa! En els meus 5 dies aquí fins avui, res ha igualat el meu gaudi d'aquesta gira. He estat en unes 80 vacances, i tendeixo a ser una mica puntimirat quan reviso esdeveniments.

Vam tenir la sort amb el nostre guia. Ella està molt ben informada, té un bon sentit de l'humor i ens va proporcionar a cadascun de nosaltres clarament què fer i temps amb tacte i diplomàcia per a poder gaudir cada moment i no preocupar-nos de quan continuar amb la nostra pròxima activitat. Ella ens va informar per endavant sobre el positiu, així com sobre les coses que era menys factible provar.

He realitzat tastos de vins en molts llocs, incloent Napa i Sonoma a Califòrnia, també com molts altres Això va ser superior a tots aquests.

My experience was fantastic! First, our tour guide was very accommodating to the group. I did this tour solo, but Aurora made sure everyone felt included and had a great time. (I even made a friend). Aurora was very knowledgeable about each stop on the tour and had the keenest comedic timing which kept us laughing while learning so much of Barcelona’s history and the Catalán language. The train had phenomenal 180 views on either side. Aurora knew exactly when to tell us to get our cameras out and also took great pictures of us as well.

The Monastery had so much detail, and Montserrat is highly unique in its structure. I definitely recommend anyone to signup for this tour to find out why! (I used Viator to purchase the GetMyGuide ticket)
The wine was fantastic, and I did not expect to learn about the engineering and chemistry behind Oller del Más, so as an engineer I really appreciated that. The food was outstanding, very flavorful and filling, and for a whole day’s tour (~9: 45am-7: 00pm) it was totally worth the price and more. Overall, this was the best birthday present to myself. Thanks Aurora!
