Federal Cafe, Barcelona

Pongo una estrella porque no se puede menos. Al personal le molesto que no supiéramos que pedir nada más sentarnos. Han forzado que nos fuéramos porque cerraban a las 16h y eran las 15: 15h. Malas formas y caras que nos han hecho sentirnos incómodos desde el principio. La comida calidad tirando a baja. No repetiremos.

La camarera principal -la rubia, más mayor- es lo más rancio que te puedas echar a la cara. Te trata como si te estuviese haciendo un favor por dejarte entrar en el local. Te corta el rollo totalmente, está de mala gana y se encarga de hacértelo saber.

Con el mal momento que ha pasado la restauración con la pandemia, ¿y después de todo tratan a la gente así? Qué ganas de perder clientes.

Los otros dos camareros tampoco son la alegría de la huerta, pero algo mejor.

La comida es buena, y el ambiente es chulo. Tienen una mesa grande para la gente que quiere trabajar, pero ojo: no tiene enchufes.

A great place for breakfast, meeting friends or just spending time.a large selection of breakfasts (sweet, savory, vegetarian and meat). Good coffee and other drinks. Very nice service, they care about the guest. I really liked the decor, you can sit with the window open from where there is a nice view of the green square.affordable prices. The restaurant is located on 3 levels, so there is always a place to be. Pet-friendly place.if I am ever in Barcelona again, I will definitely visit! ️

Really cool place with a nice variety of breakfast options. I’ve had oven baked eggs with mushrooms which were really tasty. Superb coffee. Great for vegetarians and vegansDefo recommend!

We went here maybe 3 years ago and we really liked it. We were passing this morning and so decided to go in and it was totally different. The waitress pointed and told us where to sit like we were dogs. She and the waiter then ignored us for the next 25 minutes and served people who arrived in after us. Obviously, we decided to leave. I said "gracias" in a fairly sarcastic manner while leaving to which the waiter replied "gracias" like we had actually been served and had a nice experience. The waitress just ignored me. We ended up going to a really nice cafe a block away called "Cohen" that I would highly recommend. I'm not the first person to have a bad experience with the staff in Federal and I'm sure I won't be the last.

Buen lugar para comer, tomar un buen desayuno y brunch.
El espacio es moderno, despejado, y cuenta con una terraza para disfrutar de los buenos días soleados y la buena temperatura.
La comida está bien y los precios son razonables para la ciudad de Barcelona.
El trato correcto y bueno.

'Sábado por la mañana, desayuno'. Local muy acogedor, dos camareras antipáticas con una atención al cliente altiva. Precios carísimos: unos huevos benedict, zumo verde y un café americano 20,20€. Además salí muerto de hambre, las raciones muy escasas. Un modelo de restauración en Barcelona que debería desaparecer: precios gigantes, cantidades enanas. 3 estrellas para el local, la música y el buen sabor del producto. Aunque trataremos de no volver.

Un poquito más de humildad en los camareros, parece que uno les estuviera haciendo un favor al ir.

Trabajar con el portátil y consumir en el local NO va de la mano. Solo tienen una mesa ancha, y a la que se ocupa no te permiten sacar el portátil en otro lugar del local. Si tele-trabajas te arriesgas a encontrarte con una mesa ocupada, y tener que ir a otro sitio.

When you come in no one say Hello.then I waited more than 5 minutes to be attended. I don t know why I am surprise it is always like this.

Servicio horrible, trato muy desagradable del camarero. Aunque tienen mesas para trabajar, el camarero se apresura a mostrarle TU LUGAR de manera desagradable. Muy poco recomendable, aunque el café no está nada mal. Con camareros tan poco amables pierden clientes.

Simple restaurant with delicioso breakfast options. The restaurant is located in a nice area that's very peaceful and nice to be at. The menu has a variety of options that are simple but excellently executed. We had Benedict eggs and shakshuja eggs with a juice and a coffee and we payed 23 euros total.

Not a place to work! Although it may seem otherwise.they do not have internet, they have this "open wifi" but you have to accept sharing all your information and im just not ok with that. Plus the one in Parlament had only a few assigned tables where you are allowed to use laptops and they're all short on plugs. I wish the owners would care about reviews and get internet because it really is a beautiful space (Parlament) and their products are good, staff was surprisingly Ok, they were not super nice but considering how customer service is here in general, they were not bad. My experience in the one in la pau was different. Staff was horrible, uncooked eggs and pastries were not fresh. Same internet problem. I guess they haven't figured out yet if they want to be a coffee shop or a restaurant.

1 word.fresh. This place has a steady stream of people coming in and out. They have a communal table on the 1st floor for if you brought your laptop, you can eat and work on your laptop. That communal table is the only place you can work on your laptop. The place has many reminders were you cannot do that all over. The eggs benedict with bacon as well as the eggs and smoked trout were just fresh and delicious. I also had a chocolate and banana shake. Could not really taste the banana flavor. It was a nice shake. The people there are friendly and speak English, but you should try to learn the language while you are in their country.

Nice place, fair service; we've been here and at the other in Passeig La Pau. They have a cool concept with a different menu, BUT (yes, a big but), they sale it like a place for work and study and is NOT: 1st their Internet sucks (it's an "open WiFi", so slow and you'll share your info so NOT cool at all) and 2nd they only offer a few unconfortable tables to seat with the laptop. It will be a great coffee shop for work if they really wanted to so is kind of disappointing. Btw, the 1 in La Pau is bigger but the costumer service is awful.

Es un lugar guay, con un servicio al cliente aceptable, con un menú diferente y bueno; PERO (sí tienen un gran pero), se tratan de publicitar como un sitio para ir a trabajar y estudiar y no es así; 1ero, porque tienen una "red abierta" que es lentísima (prácticamente, no va) y para colmo tienes que compartir tu información en ella, entonces no sirve esto. Y 2do, solo ofrecen algunas mesas (incómodas) para sentarte con la laptop ¡Ah! El Federal que está en Passeig La Pau, aunque es más grande, el servicio al cliente es horrible. Este sitio pudiera ser increíble si lo desearán, más decepciona.

Stopped by for breakfast. I had the shakshuka with a side of crusty bread. It was delicious but I also ordered a croissant which was easier to dip into the gooey tomato sauce. The lattes are just so so. The large one was mainly milk but satisfied my coffee craving. Service was a little lacking so save them down when you want them.

Comida rica aunque un poco cara para lo que es. Personal muy desagradable.
Ven que estás sentado y nadie viene a atenderte. Muy mal. Por la zona hay sitios de brunch mucho mejores.

Utterly perplexed as to how this made so many recommended lists in the media. Certainly as a tourist, it is not worth going out of your way to find. With inattentive and slow service (think 20+ mins in an off peak time to get drinks), brunch that needed sending back it was so overdone and food that was wholly unremarkable in taste and presentation, while this might be frequented by locals, it is not worth your time as a tourist. Not to be revisited nor recommended.

Café de Parlament/Compte Borrell. Camarero muy poco profesional y nada educado ni respetuoso! Pésimo servicio. Una verdadera lástima por el ambiente del local.
