Golden Bahía de Tossa & Spa, Girona

This is the 4th time staying at the Golden Bahia. The hotel is amazing. Clean and comfortable. The staff work so hard to provide a good service. The food is varied and a really high standard. Something or everyone and every taste. It is located just 10 minutes from the lovely bay of Tossa de mar.we love it here.

Rooms were nice and spacious and mostly clean (though our drinking glasses never once got washed or changed and the bath Didn’t seem to have been cleaned properly either). The pools were nice and clean and plenty of facilities to make use of. The food was ok, nothing special but certainly edible. Unfortunately this where the good news ends.

However my biggest problem with this hotel was the staff. I know it was end of season pretty much when we visited but it was difficult to even get a smile from most of them. A few of the waiters/waitresses were great but the rest looked miserable and rarely even acknowledged you even when spoken to. Maybe some of them were not fluent in English but I thanked them or greeted them in Spanish and still nothing! The guy at the reception upon leaving and his assistant were just plain rude, and that feeling seemed mutual amongst many we spoke too on the coach/flight home. Additionally the hotel refused to supply a hot breakfast early on the last day despite over a hundred English people flying home early the same morning.

On the 2nd or 3rd day after arriving a large contingent of French holidaymakers came to the hotel (I think they were mostly together as one huge tour). From then on large parts of the dining area and the largest bar/function room were completely shut off to everyone else but this group, which I found grossly unfair and so did many others.

I’m not sure if this is the norm with this hotel or chain of hotels but it’s put me off ever going back to the hotel again, in fact it’s probably the last large hotel we will ever stay in. My advice is unless you just care about a nice room and go self catering then avoid this place.

The nice rooms and spacious balcony kept this from being a 1* review.

Perfecto sitio, instalaciones muy bonitas, gente de 10 de verdad! Lo recomiendo muchísimo! Hemos ido para halloween y estaba todo ambientado! Precioso todo!

Maravilloso! El buffet exquisito. El complejo es de lujo! Para relajarse desconectar y divertirse tb. El personal profesional y atento!

Had a lovely time here.shame it had to end soon we visited round the castle and restuarant it has fantastic views, we also went to lloret de mar and Barcelona the bus station is to right 5 minutes Away from hotel, if u do go to barcelona i would stay local in city has its big. We got lost nearly missed our 9pm bus and that was last one aswell. Lloret has alot more shops and amusment parks if u plan to go on beach u will need decent shoes I would did bring beach shoes but my parents and boyfriend didn't u can hurt your feet on pebbles, they do have rented sunbed and umbrella at €19.99 for two.just wished we had chance to visit girona but maybe next time. The food was good just wish their were more drinks to choose from. Room were cleaned daily. The staff are amazing. I like to thank the manager has he got help for me with suitcase I locked my key in and helpful handy man was a life saver. Thank u:)

Clean, friendly (realy friendly cleaner Tere), well laid out, good pools and close to town and bus station.

Merveilleux endroit location peut chère hors saison et une très bonne cuisine le calme n'est pas au RDV mais on ne viens pas la pour ça

Le Golden Bahia de Tossa de Mar

Nous y allons depuis des années que ce soit pour l'ouverture, Pâques ou Noël et le 31 décembre mais surtout en septembre pour une ou plusieurs semaines ; le reste du temps c'est pour des week-ends ou les ponts selon le calendrier

La chance dans notre formule pension complète nous avons le parking à disposition, ce qui fait qu'une fois la voiture au garage nous sommes libres comme l'air, elle est en sécurité mais côté sécurité Tossa de Mar n'est pas LLoret de Mar vous pouvez sortir à n'importe qu'elle heure du jour et de la nuit vous ne serez jamais inquiété ;-)

L'hôtel est très bien placé quand vous arrivez vous ne pouvez pas le louper il est au premier rond point sur votre gauche à très peu de pas du centre du village et de la plage

Le buffet ouvre vers 13h le midi et le soir vers 19h30 et là vous verrez les retraités sur leur trente et un en train de faire la queue pour être les premiers à table et les premiers à se jeter sur le buffet!

A quoi bon vous êtes libre de vous servir autant de fois que vous le désirez ; bon Ok c'est la grosse bouffe avec très peux de mets fins mais bon vous n'y allaez pas pour manger All inclusive ils en ont pour leur pognon!

La piscine extérieure est sympa ainsi que la couverte à l'intérieur mais quand il y a du monde c'est malheureusement très bruyant!

L'équipe d'entertainment est fort sympathique comme les femmes de chambre et tout le personnel de salle

Un petit clin d'œil au directeur de l'hôtel ainsi qu'au personnel de l'accueil qui est très professionnel et fort serviable

Je vous recommande le soir après votre repas d'aller faire un tour dans le village bye night vous allez vous régaler

Lots to do. Large pool and sun deck areas on different levels and other outdoor activities areas. Basement gym, spa and laundry room area. Great food. Loads of choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Large comfortable rooms with balconies. A number of bars. If you were so inclined, you could while away a holiday stay just at the hotel. Easy to get in to town and beach, however, where you'll find lots to entertain you too.

Brilliant, gorgeous hotel. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Food in the restaurant is some of the best I have had in a hotel. So much choice. Entertainment every evening is first class and things to do in the hotel during the day is great. Cannt recommend this hotel and it's staff highly enough.

Cannot fault this hotel. Staff really friendly and helpful. Animation really hard working but not pushy (we are not natural joiner in ers). Good selection of lovely food. We upgraded to all inclusive and it was well worth it. When we arrived we were initially disappointed at not having a pool view but the room we had was lovely. Tip ask for a high floor. Lower ones can be noisy

Très bon hôtel avec de nombreuses piscines. Restauration très correcte. Chambre un peu petite pour le standing. Par contre très bruyant car beaucoup d' enfants et pas de piscine adulte, ni de salle de restaurant sans enfants. Solarium au dernier étage en principe interdit aux enfants, mais avons vu des enfants dans le jacuzzi (il n'y a pas de surveillance). Avec de la chance, on trouve une place de parking gratuit devant l'hôtel.
