Handmade Avarcas and Espadrilles, Barcelona

This store surpassed my expectations! The staff were lot just kind but outstanding, accomodating, accomplished, friendly, gave us local recommendations and more. To begin, I asked last week over WhatsApp for a pair of beautiful pink custom shoes, and the staff were so accomodating and kept in touch throughout the week! They even stayed open later for me and showed me how to tie the shoes. The owners are actually amazing and I would come get a job here if I could LOL! Strongly recommend ️

Amazing service! We came here and right off the bat, Karla was bubbly and friendly and ready to help us. She was extremely knowledgeable and made us feel right at home:) We got a pair of beautiful handmade shoes from the store. The designs they have are beautiful and they are all handmade. They offer classic Espadrilles and other types of Spanish shoes like Avarcas. Karla even mentioned that if the shoes don’t fit (we were buying for my friend’s mum who wasn’t in the country), we could come back anytime to switch them out for a different size/get them shipped to us. Definitely recommend:)

I have purchased four pairs of the Menorquinas from the brand Handmade and love them all. I bought my first two pairs while in Barcelona and have continued to buy them years later. Their stores are wonderful, the staff incredibly helpful and friendly, and their online purchasing very easy and fast. These are beautiful shoes and very comfortable.

A staff called Karla was a really friendly and lovely staff who provided me assistance on getting the perfect pair of shoes for my mum! The shoes are all handmade and they are able to be shipped across the globe.

The selection of the traditional shoes here is amazing, you can probably find a color and style for any preference. However, what elevates the experience of shopping here are the friendly women who tend the store, who enthusiastically helped us with explanations of each type of shoe and found us the right styles as gifts. This is a fun store that makes customer service a priority!

If your visiting Spain and looking for authentic leather shoes, this is the place. You can walk around the city and see what may look like the same shoe for a cheaper price but quality is also cheaper. I have had mine for years, use them all the time and still in great condition! They custom colors right there, truly handmade. Staff is always welcoming and helpful. None but the BEST!

Amazing customer service, so friendly and helpful! Didn’t have my size in Avarcas, they called every store in town, didn’t find size, so are shipping to me in the USA.

Fui a Barcelona y paseando por una de sus calles, me encontré con esta tienda tan bonita. Me encantaron desde un principio sus alpargatas y no dude en comprarme unas. Las chicas muy atentas me aconsejaron y me las personalizaron. Me las he puesto durante el verano y son comodisimas. Sin duda cuando vuelva a Barcelona será el sitio perfecto para volverme a comprar otras alpargatas.
