Hotel Neri Relais & Chateaux‎, Barcelona

I fell in love in this place. The city and location made three dreamy days. We walked everywhere. You could walk the streets forever here. Everything built hundreds of years ago, the gothic quarter thrives with life. This hotel has a class all its own. The entryway is like a painting, designed around a sweeping stone archway built in the 12th century. The courtyard behind has a tranquility that bespeaks the place. Cerebral. Our room was impeccable. We especially appreciated the wonderful service from concierge staff, waitstaff and Tomas, from Haiti.

One of the most delightful stays I’ve ever enjoyed. The staff at Hotel Neri is knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. They don’t miss a detail and you feel comfortable and at home. The historic location at Sant Felip Neri Square is central to exploring the gothic quarter, next to the Catedral de Barcelona where the squares are full of musicians and performers and the enchanting medieval narrow streets full of shops. The rooftop, restaurant and library at Hotel Neri and lovely havens that allow you to escape the bustle of the city while still feeling immersed in the beauty of it.
I am picky about beds because I travel allot and oddly so many hotels don’t invest well in the actual sleeping aspect of the stay, at Hotel Neri I was so deliciously comfortable I completely overslept and woke up feeling incredibly well rested. The design details at the hotel are very artistic and blend historic and modern pieces into a lovely symbiance.
