Hotel Sixties opiniones
3 stars.
This hotel is extremely fine. Very average. We stayed here 3 nights and I likely wouldn't stay again, but it was just fine.
Breakfast buffet options were very limited but all in all fine for our needs. The room seemed clean and spacious. We had a balcony. Showers were nice but definitely flooded the bathroom. Fine location to La Rambla but that's kinda it. Has an elevator, very small, but I was happy with the feature. The beds were very hard and mine sagged a lot - my back still hurts. I slept so poorly which is not great before a flight.
The AC blasted on the entire stay, it didn't turn off once no matter how much I messed with the remote and settings. I was freezing the last night and could not sleep and it would not turn off. With the constant AC, I ended up having quite a dry throat and developing a cough. I think the vents are dusty or there's maybe mold in the bathroom (from the flooding).
On our third day, we (luckily) saw a sign that hot water would be out from 10-18 or so. No problem - but thankfully we actually saw the tiny sign in the elevator. This was not communicated to us at check in, which is odd - they should've said something. I can't imagine how it would've been if we DIDN'T see that sign (what if we never took the elevator?). It would've been quite a surprise to have no hot water.
The staff did their jobs - not extra friendly but not rude or dismissive in any way. When we checked out we didn't get a "good morning" or "how was your stay" or even a "thank you for staying with us". Not a big deal just seems like a bare minimum?
We were supposed to check in at 2 per our booking reservation, but they said 3. Luckily I brought it up and we were fine and able to check in at 2.
We had arrived early to check in and left our bags in a luggage room. They had us put tags on them to retrieve later, however, they let all the guests (including us) simply walk into the rooms to place/retrieve our bags - this is a security risk.
All in all, it was a pleasant stay but didn't blow my mind.
Loved this hotel and ALL of it staff. They were very accommodating at every moment! The hotel has it own hip theme which really adds to it and it’s right next to La Rambla. We were able to use the hotel bikes and travel all around Barcelona. They really provide you with everything you need to stay in Barcelona. We will definitely be back here in the future!
Perfectly located between the harbor and the rambla, next to El born gothic quarter. Definitely ideal to tour Barcelona.
Correctly priced and well decorated with a nice theme from the 60s.
Yet, do ask for a room oriented in the backyard if you ever want to get any sleep!
Lovely hotel, clean rooms with air con. My daughter left her passport in the room and they sent a taxi to the airport with the passport. Above and beyond. Brilliant.
Highly recommend this hotel, clean rooms and service minded staff. Breakfast leaves a lot to desire but you're close to La Rambla with a lot of really good places to get breakfast.
Attentive, friendly staff, cosy bedroom and an excellent location (right on the edge of El Raval, walking distance from the Born and Gothic districts, and a ten minute train ride from the beach).
Was a bit scatterbrained, so had some issues processing payment, but the staff members manning the hotel counter were very patient and pro-active about helping us resolve the problem!
Muchas gracias.
Hotel tres bien placé, accueil et services trés sympathique. A conseiller pour un séjour à Barcelone.
The hotel is situated superbly, at 45 seconds walk from a metro station and 1 min and 30 secs from Rambla (near Colon statue). We had superior double bed room and it was great for a 3 star hotel. It was spacious, the bed was big and comfy. The room was very clean and cleaned daily. The bath was at the same standard. It has a small balcony with a table for two. It also have a swimming pool, but I haven't been there. It was kind of pricey (as expected for Barcelona), but it was one of the cheapest hotels in that period of the year. Overall, I was very satisfied and it's gonna be my first option when I'll return to Barcelona.
