Learnlife Barcelona - Urban Hub

I deeply regret sending my son here for a whole year. Learn Life is only to be recommended for those parents who intend to leave their child outside the mainstream education system for ever. There is no real teaching, no testing, the school is not recognised or accredited locally, the children (I speak of the 11-14 Explorers group) game on their devices while "class" is going on.

There is also no teaching of Spanish or Catalan to international students which is absolutely crazy.

The parents who have been getting quite anxious about the lack of local accreditation, have been misled by the school. The school cannot provide any reports of your child's education should you seek to send them to a mainstream school after. For a while, the school even associated with West River Academy, a fake school in the USA that sells degrees! Learn Life is a US startup that has been running for around 5 years, it has no other schools apart from Barcelona and Castelldefels.

It is not based on any accepted learning methodology and there is no proof of success in the past. When the investors pull the plug and the students find that there is no school to go back to next year, a lot of kids will find themselves in a very difficult position should they need to go back to mainstream education.

Around 1000 Euros a month for an educational institution that doesn't have a science lab or a library, and where children have to bring their own expensive ingredients for cookery class, and there are not enough basic facilities that even a public school would have, says it all.

The only positive is the great parent community that help each other out.

But really, if you are coming to Barcelona and looking for educational options, which is not necessarily very easy in Barcelona because of the Catalan language issue, do not be tempted by the easiness to sign your child up for Learn Life.because you are likely to regret it profoundly.

LearnLife ha tenido un profundo impacto en mi crecimiento personal y educación. Las guías de aprendizaje dedicadas se han convertido en mentores, brindando apoyo y orientación personalizados. Su creencia en mi potencial me ha permitido superar los límites y descubrir mis pasiones. LearnLife ofrece una educación holística con una variedad de actividades extracurriculares que fomentan el desarrollo personal y las conexiones significativas. Los recursos modernos de la escuela y los métodos de enseñanza innovadores aseguran la preparación para el futuro. En general, LearLife ha sido una experiencia que me cambió la vida y me transformó en una persona segura de sí misma y compasiva, lista para generar un impacto positivo.

Pasé mis cuatro años de secundaria en learnlife y me acabo de graduar en junio de 2023. Learnlife no es una institución hecha para que tu hijo ingrese a la universidad pública española el próximo año. Si eso es lo que esperas, aléjate. Learnlife es un entorno de aprendizaje creado para estudiantes para quienes el sistema educativo tradicional ha fallado. Cosas como exámenes, calificaciones o tareas son reliquias sin cambios de un sistema obsoleto, en un mundo en constante cambio.
Lo que he visto en learnlife es un cambio total de mentalidad hacia el aprendizaje en docenas de estudiantes que antes no estaban motivados ni inspirados. Las guías de aprendizaje harán más por usted de lo que un maestro podría y me han ayudado personalmente en muchos momentos difíciles. Hay espacio para que los alumnos tomen sus propias decisiones; para aprender, con apoyo, lo que quieren hacer y cómo pueden hacerlo. Sí, puedes irte con un título. No, no es el grado más fiable de todos los tiempos. Pero la mentalidad y la capacidad de aprendizaje con las que me voy son completamente invaluables.

Llevo en Learnlife cuatro años y me quedaría aquí cuatro años más. Más una escuela es una familia. El espacio es muy acogedor y agradable. Muchas gracias por todo Learnlife.

Este lugar ha transformado mi viaje de aprendizaje, desde el momento en que me uní, me impresionó el enfoque innovador de la plataforma y el compromiso con la educación personalizada. A glimpse into what education will hopefully become in the next years globally: a community where every child and adult are deeply respected and encouraged to discover and develop their talents & purpose as well as to build supportive kind relationships. Was so worth moving to Barcelona for this school 3 years ago - not a single regret!

Learnlife es un espacio donde cada niño/adolescente es escuchado, acompañado, empoderado en su propio camino de aprendizaje.

Mi hija está ahí casi desde el inicio y cada día vemos cómo se va enriqueciendo gracias a los espacios preparados, a los cuestionamientos, a las herramientas. En soledad, en comunidad.
En libertad y con escucha interior.y siempre con el gran valor del proyecto, los guías de aprendizaje, que a parte de preparar todo el entorno de aprendizaje, acompañan con gran respeto y cercanía.

LearnLife is a unique space for learning in the 21st century in the heart of Barcelona. It is a school but actually it is much more! It is a community, an ecosystem of learning! The concept behind it is absolutely transformational. If lifelong learning is on your mind don’t miss the chance to visit and see with your own eyes!

A truly one of a kind place. Unique and inspiring, both for children and parents. I've been around and lived in different places but I have yet to see this much positive energy, genuine interest, creativity and care gathered in one place. (Don't take my word for it. Better come and experience yourself).
