I have travelled the world 5x over and know it’s best not to try to “read and see” because a tour guide can do wonders for your knowledge. And no tour group is better than Orange Donut. Other operators sometimes don’t show up or have a college kid giving the tour. You can’t triple your knowledge with a great guide and that’s what Orange Donut has. You also get the cell phone number of the guide in case you can’t see them and they answer MILLIONS of questions (what to wear, weather, etc) before you go. Can not recommend more highly

Aleksandra and Celine we amazing! We took a three hour tour of the Louvre followed by a wonderful sidewalk cafe lunch and then a three hour tour of the Musee Rodin. Celine was accommodating and informative. Alexsandra helped us get the most out of our short trip to Paris. We highly recommend Orange Donut Tours and will use them again!

Just completed tours in Madrid, Toledo and Barcelona. These were amazing and Aleksandra arranged for us to be taken to the station with our luggage at the end of the Madrid tour. In Barcelona after the tour we were taken to our ship at the cruise terminal. Wonderful service and great guides.

A Fun and informative day at Alhambra, Our guide Marina met us in the lobby of our hotel and the first thing we noticed was how good her English was. Usually this is not important to us, however for the deep history that Alhambra has being able to understanding little details makes a big difference. Having a local who studied archeology and spent a few years studying in the US & UK made our special day not only super fun but also very interesting and informative as Marina’s depth of knowledge was incredible. It was also nice doing a full day tour with out using a car. Marina was very generous with her time after a full day she joined for an Aperitivo at a local wine bar where we learned about Tapas Granada style. Thanks to the magic maker at Orange Donut tours we had a great day. We’re confident all their tour guides are great however we will definitely request Marina again.

Worst company ever, the office doesn't exist and it's the picture of another company (Orange Mobile)

AMAZING! We just did several tours with Orange Donut Tours (not to be confused with Orange Mobile the cellphone company!) and they are the best tour company I've ever used. Alexsandra organized multi-day tours for us all over Spain and everything from start to finish could not have been more perfect! We had several tours in Barcelona, Madrid, Seville, and Granada and each of our private guides were knowledgeable and fun in their own way which added so much to the experience. The Mercedes vehicles and drivers were all very clean and professional as well. Orange Donut Tours are not cheap, but you certainly get what you pay for. I'm glad I was able to organize everything with them instead of having to book different companies in different cities and I will definitely use them again next time I am in Spain. Gracias Alexsandra!

Phenomenal experience! If you’re visiting Barcelona and looking to hire a private tour company to make your visit phenomenal, go for this company and I’m certain that you won’t regret it. If you’ve decided to pay for a private guide anyway then why not spend a little extra and go for the best? If you get Gemma as your guide then well.you’re welcome.

Orange Donut Tours was one of 4 private tours I hired for my first trip to Barcelona. Barcelona has loads of tour guides/companies that it is really hard to know which is the real good one so I chose to spread out my risk so to speak. Orange Donut’s quote was actually the most expensive of the 4 but I decided to give it a try anyway and, for some reason, I decided to use them for my most expensive package (my only out of Barcelona tour). I’m truly glad I did because the experience far exceeded my expectations and I’m pretty hard to please when it comes to tours as I’m impatient and get bored easily, which is also why I always engage private tours instead of going on group tours.

Gemma, our guide, is a true Gem (yes, I did that with the name but she really is). She was engaging and went above and beyond to ensure that we are comfortable and that we enjoyed our tour. Her English was perfect for a non-English native and she’s a wonderful storyteller who made everything extra interesting. I’m a cynic. A thousand year old rock is still just a rock for me. I told Gemma that in the car ride and somehow she managed to make me appreciate the “rocks” that we saw. Not for being a thousand year old but by sharing with me stories that actually captivated me. And she did that naturally. She paid attention to our needs, was fully patient with my lack of interest and did not flounder at all at having to go off script. She’s full of positive energy and a true joy to be around.

My Orange Donut tour was the longest of the 4 tours I had (10 hours vs. 8 and 3 hours) and I was not bored even for a little bit. The 10 hours were very pleasant and comfortable and passed by more quickly than the shorter tours I had. I actually felt disappointed when it ended. That was how awesome Gemma was. Don’t get me wrong, the other guides were not bad. They pretty much tally up to the guides I’ve had in other countries so they actually met expectations. But Gemma is simply phenomenal. Orange Donut Tours does not kid about having the best guides.

The only thing that really sucks for me now is that I’ll be comparing all my future guides to Gemma and, given she’s my first Gemma in my 10 years of using private guides.well.things don’t look too good for me.

Anyway, I don’t actually do reviews as it’s time consuming and I like to minimize my online presence. But it’s the least I could do to show my gratitude to both Gemma and Orange Donut Tours. They deserve 10 stars but I’m only allowed a maximum of 5 so 5 it is.

We were a party of four, spending two days in Barcelona following a cruise. We contacted several tour companies and didn't get a response from most of them. Aleksandra at Orange Donut Tours Barcelona answered immediately; she was wonderful to work with, answered all of my questions and really made me feel comfortable booking with them. She stayed in contact with me, even sending me a picture of our tour guide the day before our scheduled tours began.

Our guide for the 2 days was Silvia - she is fabulous! The first day we visited all sites Gaudi, including a tour inside and outside of the Sagrada Familia. We didn't wait in any lines, but went right inside. Silvia was so knowledgeable and there weren't any questions we asked that she didn't know the answer to. She also recommended we go to the Hospital de Sant Pau. We were initially skeptical about visiting a hospital, but so glad we listened to her. It was absolutely beautiful and interesting, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Silvia escorted us through it and again her knowledge was amazing. The second day we visited Montserrat in the morning. Another beautiful, unusual spot. Highly recommend spending half a day there. Following that we had a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant followed by a tour and tasting at Llopart Winery. It was a magical day and so much of that was due to Silvia. Her love and pride in her city really shines through.

I would not hesitate to book with Orange Donut, and make sure you ask for Silvia!

First Class Tour Experience. Just returned from a two week trip to Spain starting in Barcelona and extending to Granada, Cordoba and Seville. After 30 years of planning and executing my own European trips I chose to let Orange Donut Tours handle all the day tours. We used them for eight days of our trip with private tours and transport including a transfer from Granada to Seville by way of Cordoba. While not inexpensive the service was worth everything we paid and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone who doesn't want to find their own tour guides and transfers. Aleksandra was my contact with Orange Donut and stayed in close touch with me before and during the trip. Their guides and drivers were all excellent, polite and knowledgeable. I feel certain that anyone else using Orange Donut will be completely satisfied. Thank you Aleksandra!

We had the most incredible time yesterday in Barcelona with Orange Donut the tour company! Our guide was wonderful and felt like part of our family. She was so patient, helpful, flexible, and thorough and even picked out a great place for lunch where we invited her to join so we could pick her brain about the local food. We saw so much of the city that I know we would have completely missed without her, and learned even more. The car was comfy and our driver was also very professional and he gave us a funny anecdote about the alternative to Santa that they have in Catalonia during Christmas (I won't spoil it for you, but ask about it). They both deserved their tips and I highly recommend Orange Donut the tour company! 5 stars all around!

Orange Donut is the only tour you should take. Aleksandra was wonderful and informative. Equally so, was Cesar in Madrid.

We had a wonderful time with Aleksandra. My friend and I booked two half days tours and it worked out perfectly. I couldn't believe how much we saw during those two sessions. Akeksandra is extremely well informed, (she seems to know everything about Barcelona), and has fun and unusual bits of information at every turn. We learned a lot, saw a lot, and enjoyed every minute of it.
