Orvay, Barcelona

Muy muy muy caro para la cantidad que es. Creo que la carta de Navidad es un atrapa guiris que está fuera de lugar. Lo siento pero ha sido una decepción

We had an incredible meal at Orvay in Barcelona. The food was creative, beautiful, and the flavors were amazing. The staff was welcoming, kind, and friendly.

Enjoyable late lunch. Duck cannelloni as advertised. Iberian pork cheek bites very small but awesome. Then some nice cod fritters. All delicious and well served by Fernando and Victor. And reasonably priced.

Absolutely love this tapas bar! Lots of unique and tasty dishes that are also outside of the regular traditional tapas you’ll find in most places. Not to say they don’t have these staples. The quality of the products is fresh and the dishes are well prepared! If you have any allergies they happily show you which dishes are suitable for you!

Fue una gran sorpresa encontrarlo alrededor de la catedral del mar. Excelente lugar y gastronomía. Pedimos burrata, tartar de gambas (plato excepcional), ciervo, calamares rellenos y steak tartar (si, nos pasamos, pero volveríamos a repetir).
Recomendable al 100%. Carta de vinos variada y sin precios desorbitados. Interior acogedor y cómodo. Servicio atento y preciso. Repetiremos.

Espectacular, ingredients de primera qualitat, molt ben treballats i una presentació magnífica, en un local molt acollidor. L'única pega que podria posar-hi és que els preus dels vins estan més inflats que a altres restaurants (24€ per un Acústic, quan val 12€ a qualsevol bodega).

Really good, sophisticated tapas with friendly service. We had tuna and shrimp tartare - both beautifully presented almost like a piece of art. The taste was incredible with explosion of flavors. Only minus are the prices - still find it a bit too much, but definitely worth to try from time to time.

Este sábado fui con mi pareja a cenar y la experiencia fue maravillosa.
Empezamos con unos ferrero y un tartar de gambas increible, a continuación pedimos una terrina de cordero y un lomo de ciervo que nos recomendó el camarero muy profesional y muy amable:)
De postre una tarta de queso y el coulant que nos sorprendió gratamente.
El local no es excesivamente grande y es muy acogedor, aún estoy descubriendo Barcelona pero sin duda volveré y lo recomendaré a mis amigos!

The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy and welcoming. The staff and service are down to earth, friendly and accommodating. They clearly care about their craft and it shows! We decide to have their Menú Dedustación and it could not have been happier. It was plate after plate of beautifully presented, great tasting delicacies. Each portion was meticulously crafted and fully explained upon presentation. Well done Orvay!

Great food, tasty wine and really friendly staff! Nice location as well. Will definitely come back!

Our first meal in Barcelona but unfortunately not our best. The burrata was delicious as were the curry chicken croquettes. However, the cod was far too salty which was a shame as the accompanying sauce was fantastic. The beef cheek was beautifully cooked, but came with way too much truffle potato puree which felt and tasted more like a thick, sticky and pasty fondue. We were the first customers of the evening, but when another couple was seated next to us they received a specials menu and what seemed to be a very attentive and explanatory break down of all the dishes from the female waitress - we didn’t get any of this which was a shame, and left us feeling quite dismayed that we didn’t receive the same caring service as other customers. We think there are better eateries in El Born, however the food here is obviously good, perhaps we just didn’t have the same experience as everyone else. There was also a really unpleasant drain smell in the restaurant which was a shame. I am a coeliac and received attentive service for my dietary requirements which I appreciate a lot:)
