A family-run restaurant not to be missed while in Barcelona!
Very creative combinations of traditional ingredients, generous portions, large wine offer and good recommendations.
The place can be quite crowded but service is always impeccable and friendly. They just not offer you nice food and wine but also a great atmosphere that makes you want to come back.

El trato espectacular! La dueña muy simpatica. Calidad precio maravilloso y muy buen ambiente! Por cierto.tiene servicios!

Very tasty small bites. Fresh meat. The stuffed squid, the tuna paté and the mushroom truffle paté were delicious.

Tapas at Michelin level! Forget what you know about tapas, and enjoy the beautiful crafted tapas from these guys. Super creative combinations of fine ingredients result in a taste sensation of epic proportions. I purposely use superlatives because that's what they deserve. Michelin should take notice, I mean that!

One of my favorite restraints in Barcelona. First time discovered on 2017, and since then I must visit it every time I’m in Barcelona.
Great food, beautiful local family with lots of heritage and legacy. Goat cheese, prawns, muscles with caviar, are some of my favorite bites.

Una fiesta de sabores en cada bocado, ni lo dudes, el mejor lugar.comeria todos los dias ahi.

Comida exquisita y una atención excelente, super cercana y familiar. Nos fueron guiando y recomendando distintas tapas y explicando al detalle lo que llevaba todo. No podéis iros sin probar el carajillo de postre, os recomiendo preguntarles. La unica pega es que es un lugar pequeño y seguramente debáis hacer cola para entrar pero merece la pena.

No el coneixia i em va encantar. Tot. Tan l'espai, com el vermut i les tapes servides, com la gent que el porta.un 10!

Muy buena variedad de tapas frías, aunque algunas opciones vegetarianas más no estarían mal. Excelente variedad de vinos y whiskeys. La atención de todos es espectacular (incluso en circunstancias de restricciones y cuando no había lugar para acomodarnos).

Genial, el menjar espectacular i la família sense paraules, la Neus una canya, el tete únic, els pares uns sants.

Bueno no soy muy dado a escribir críticas, pero realmente merece la pena que los que no sepan de la historia del vermuth en Barcelona conozcan el Quimet & Quimet. Tengo 37 años y llevo viniendo desde que tenía 3 añitos desde el año 84. Y la verdad no voy a dejar de ir mi3ntras sigan al Pie del cañón. Hoy por primera vez como hizo mi padre en el 84 he podido llevar a mi hija.que aunque es muy pequeña y n9 ha podido probar nada, para mi es muy especial.tal como hicieron mis padres. Para mi sois el firmamento del vermuth de Bcn. Gracias por tantos años de buen servicio.

Fantastic place. High quality ingredients, creatively prepared and all at a cheap price.

Some considerations. It is small and it is standing room only, arrive early to minimise any wait. I recommend being as close to the bar as possible, there is no kitchen and the food is prepared in front of you and at some speed. Standing closer will however ease ordering. This does mean all the dishes are cold.

As others have mentioned it is a mixture of fresh and ‘canned’. Don’t be put off, when you are dealing with preserved ingredients canned is not uncommon and also, as with all things, if you pay more you get higher quality.

The food is truly excellent, highlights particularly are the salted tuna and the salmon with yogurt and truffle honey. Also make sure to sample the house vermouth, they also have a large wine selection and sangria.

Go open minded and with an empty stomach, then eat all of it!

This place is hands down the best tapas I had in Barcelona. It’s tiny, quaint, and has an amazing selection of fresh food and wines to choose from. Be forewarned, this place gets packed and will often be a wait. If it is a wait, don’t walk away, make sure you wait to get in because it is 100% worth it. Ordering can be difficult once you’re in since you’ll likely have to shimmy through a sea of people to get to the front counter. Again, don’t worry it’s worth it. Pricing is very reasonable, and service is what you would expect from a place that’s constantly busy.

Las dos veces que he intentado ir a comer, me he dado la vuelta y me he ido. Después de esperar de pie un buen rato en la calle (el sitio es muy pequeño) cuando logro que nos atiendan, tanto el hombre como la mujer parece que estén allí por obligación, una atención de lo más ácida, con contestaciones tajantes. Evidentemente la sonrisa no está a la orden del día en este sitio. Por lo menos yo no suelo pagar sólo por la comida y la bebida y menos si el sitio tiene una reputación y un precio que no es económico. En fin que si te gusta la buena atención este no es tu sitio, si te da igual, tienen buenos y gran variedad de vinos.

I ate twice in two days. It was quite possibly the most delicious flavors I’ve ever eaten. Our first night there was rudely interrupted by a freakish electrical fire. The owner handled the situation like a champion and our night went on. Having done electrical before, I was given the opportunity to determine the cause. The owner and his sister (co-owner?) were so gracious afterwards. Handshakes, hugs, kisses and apple cider ice wine. I have never been treated so well. We came back the next night and sampled even more delicious tapas. I don’t know how many times I’ll get to Barcelona in my lifetime. I hope it’s many more times. I will come to Quimet y Quimet every time I am here. They may not remember me, but I will never forget their hospitality. This place deserves 10 stars.

Merece la pena la visita, las tapas muy ricas y el servicio muy rápido, el sitio es muy original, cuando fuimos a pesar de ser tarde estaba lleno de japoneses eso le daba también un encanto extraño. A mi me gustó más su variedad en vinos que en la cervezas de importación.
