We went to this Indian restaurant because the reviews were good, however I have never been in an Indian restaurant were you are able to hear them microwave food. I ordered a Chicken Saag only it came like baby food and very salty. The chicken was nonexistent. This meal was also not very warm. The staff seemed to not be bothered about the limited selection of wines and beers.
I visited this place with family. We had chicken biryani, aloo gobhi, chole, chicken curry and naans. We liked taste of all the dishes we tried.
We were really looking forward to eating here after the reviews however we were really disappointed. On entering there was no welcome and we asked do we just sit anywhere to which we were told yes. We were given menus and ordered shortly afterwards. We ordered 2x onion bhaji, chicken madras, chicken saag, basmati rice, keema naan and 2 bottles of Estrella beer (asked for a wine list but they don't have one and they had no red wines!) The onion bhajis were strange with lots of flour making up the inside like a paste, they were definitely not cooked fresh so really disappointed. They were served with 4 sauces, mango chutney, mint and yogurt, a strange spicy mint sauce and a tarmrind sauce.
The mains of chicken Madras and chicken saag arrived next with the basmati rice and keema naan. The madras was very salty with a fairly thin sauce, no onions or other textures. It was ok but not what you expect from a restaurant. The saag was extremely poor and if I'm not mistaken was microwaved! We heard the microwave ping several times before it was served. I can only describe it as pureed green mush, not appetising at all and my wife didn't finish it. The rice was standard stuff that you really can't make a hash of.
Overall very very disappointed. I'm very surprised at the ratings. I've had better microwave meals out of supermarkets.
Arrived to a very empty curry house. Must be due to the popularity of a curry in Lloret. Brits love a curry and there aren’t many Brits in Lloret this week.
We were the first to arrive and ask for a table. The woman that served us was very friendly and accommodated us well. We ordered a chicken madras and a chicken tikka tandoori with a plain basmati rice. Was very tasty to be fair however the madras didn’t look like a madras to me, no tomato base or any tomatoes.
We were given the standard sauces like mango chutney, raita sauce and a mint sauce which was nice, however was a bit disappointed that poppadums didn’t come with this for free, as this is a standard thing in British Indian cuisine.
Overall the food was OK. Just the atmosphere was a bit dead, due to the popularity maybe? Not sure. I recommend the chicken tikka.
Simply the worst Indian restaurant and food I've had.
Ordered Samosa for starter which was basically potato wrapped in dough.
For the main we ordered Lamb Vindaloo, Lamb Josh Rogan and Chicken Jalferzi they came in 3 separate bowls but had exactly the same sauce colour and taste, each bowl had 3-4 very small pieces of meat in them apart from the LambVindaloo that had 2 piecesof potatoes and even less meat.
Also had ordered Tandoori mixed plate which was suppose to have chicken, prawns and Lamb in it, unfortunately there wasn't any Lamb to begin with and then the chicken was in a weird Florence green colour for some reason.
In addition of course we ordered rice which they charged extremely expensive for adding some cumin seeds in it.
Their peshawar nan had no flavour or added nuts/raison in it and it rather had a soggy center.
Expensive as well sadly.
We love Indian food and we were definitely ready for a change from the local cuisine.
There was only one table Infront of us but our onion bhaji starter still took an eternity to arrive? 45 mins? Can't complain at freshly prepared food, Just a little too long though!
Generally a nice meal of butter chicken and tandoori chicken, but top 10% of Indian meals as others might suggest?
Would we rush back? Sorry but probably not dependent on finding any other Indian restaurants in llorett?
Perfect experience for us today. Visited with my mom- was her first time to eat Indian food. She was happy and me too. Good service, clean and tidy. Really good food. Can suggest!
Location is in the city centre right by the town hall but a bit behind the corner and not visible to everyone. I'm glad that I accidentally found it. Restaurant goes through the building. It has also clean toilet.
Not quite authentic Indian food but better than all the other Indian restaurants we tried in Catalunya.
Absolutely delicious…on a Sunday night when everything else was closed …. We found this gem if a restaurant…highly recommend it
