Swad-The Indian Restaurant, Barcelona

Pedimos dal takda y obtuvimos dal medio hervido y sin sabor en palak paneer. Cuando dieron su opinión, mencionaron groseramente que el nivel de especias es según el estándar español, no el estándar indio. Literalmente pedimos un plato con un nivel medio de especias y otro con un nivel alto de especias. Ambos no tenían sabor y dal estaba medio cocido. Parece sacarlo del congelador y calentarlo.

Restaurante pequeño y acogedor con buen ambiente, servicio malo y tardío, comida insulsa, muy cara, no merece la pena para nada.

Lugar recomendado para probar la comida india halal. Comida deliciosa, servicio rápido, lugar moderno y limpio.

Pésimo servicio, ¡no abrió la puerta para permitirnos llegar a las 8 p.m!

We were visiting Barcelona and decided to go to this restaurant for lunch, just looking at the reviews. We were not disappointed! Absolutely wonderful food. I would.highlu recommend palak paneer and the veg.biriyani. Service was very prompt.

Incredible, authentic Indian food. Fresh ingredients, attentive service. Calm environment, minimalist decor. One of our favourite restaurants in the area, we keep coming back, and definitely one of our favourite Indians in the city.

Cosy restaurant with tasty food. Although I give ‘em only three stars for two reasons - first as they gave us a time slot of one and a half hours which is more than enough but it took them 30 min to collect the order and another 40 min to serve the dishes so we had to rush with eating. The other big fail was that they put a lot of spices in the dish of our child and as we complained about that they told us we would be hypersensitive.

Tried this restaurant during our vacation. The food is average. The paneer tikka in the pic was flavorless, other than turmeric we didn’t taste anything. The curry was okay. The ambience is of a cozy restaurant.

Para mí, uno de los mejores restaurantes indios de la ciudad. Su propietario, Punit es un gran cocinero y tiene mucha pasión por su trabajo. Cuenta con un gran equipo. Los platos son excelentes y deliciosos. Mi favorito es el Butter lamb. Pero hay otros buenísimos. Muy recomendable.

Muy buena comida y atención. El lugar y los platos están hermosos. Te preguntan el nivel de picante y lo respetan. Eso me encanto. Muy sabrosa la comida. El pan de frutos rojos y anacardos una locura

Worst behaviour and no respect for customers. You will feel like begger for food. Place was stinking and dirty same as the owner/manager. Came back without having food. Never ever go there and pass it to your friends to save everyone.

Servicio magnífico. Llegamos y no teníamos reserva y nos consiguió mover dos mesas para 5 personas. Además nos recomendaron toda la comida y no fallo en nada, estaba riquísimo. Seguro que volvemos.

Está bueno! Pedimos el menú degustación y nos gustó todo, pero lo que más el pollo al curry

Acogedor, personal muy amable y atento y la comida es incredible, con una gran variedad de sabores y mesclas y bonita apresentación. La cantidad de las porciones es muy bien servida y puedes elegir lo picante que quieres los platos. Hay distintas opciones vegetarianas.

El trato y la comida excelente. Soy vegano y desde el primer momento Mohsin nos ha atendido super bien detallando perfectamente que platos eran veganos y que platos no. La comida excelente, volveré y lo recomendaré. Good Vegan options!

It is my go to place for authentic Indian food in Barcelona. Love the taste and presentation. It is recommended to make a booking as there is limited seating. Very good vegetarian options. Will keep coming back

Swad means tasty and indeed it is a great way to describe the tasting menu!
It’s 24€ and you get so much food and flavours!
My favourite was the butter chicken and the rice pudding dessert!
Will certainly come back!

Spice level is surprisingly very mild! We ordered medium. Felt like it was zero chili. Maybe order high level if you like vindaloo level of spice. Mango lassi was delicious. Garlic naan was garlicky and good. I’ll try high level next time!
