If you're someone who likes to smell good, definitely make sure you visit the Perfumery when you're in Barcelona. Excellent perfumes, excellent collection and above all excellent service. Now the collection you can see on the website, so I'd like to tell you about the service here, because it's remarkable.

I don't know about you, but most of my experiences with going out to buy perfume involved pushy sales people trying to get me to buy a certain perfume they had in mind as soon as possible. Because of this I learned the hard way that the best thing you can do (in most cases) is to avoid these people, as you tend to end up with fragrances you'll regret if you don't. Now in most cases I would still recommend this strategy, but not at the Perfumery. This place does service RIGHT.

What I noticed about the Perfumery, is that they find it important that you're actually going to wear the perfume that you buy. So when I first entered the shop, Thomas first showed me around the shop and let me smell some perfumes based on what I told him I like and dislike. I happen to like most perfumes, so in my case that took some time. Then, based on my reaction, he put aside the samples I responded most positively towards. Out of the samples that were picked, I decided on a top 4. Then I was encouraged to try the top 4 out on my skin and wear them for a couple of hours, so I could make an informed decision. That's also a big thing to me, as I have experienced the opposite more than once. So my experience at the Perfumery was great.

Another thing that I would like to mention, is that Thomas is very knowledgeable about perfumes, not only the ones you can get here, but also other ones. The fact that he also makes perfumes himself might have something to do with it. Definitely recommend a visit to the Perfumery, don't skip it when you go to Barcelona!

Edit: I bought Punk Motel when I came here today, but I've got to come back to get myself a bottle of Seahorse too. It's hard to choose when there are so many good options!

This place is absolutely amazing. I just loved everything about it: from how it looks and smells, through atmosphere and perfumes selection, to excellent customer service. Definitely after very first time it jumped into my list of places to visit every time I will be back in beautiful city of Barcelona.

I visited The Perfumery on my recent trip to Barcelona. It was probably the happiest and most memorable moment of my trip. The place looks, smells and feels amazing, and I highly recommended to anybody who has an interest in niche perfumery. The selection is amazing. A lot of brands that cannot be bought in the United States or are more expensive here. I bought a perfume that I really wanted for a long time and it was about $40 cheaper than in the U. S. The owner is a great guy and the store is definitely a reflection of his taste and preferences. I loved the big Zoologist posters (I am also a fan of the brand). Not sure when I will go back to Barcelona, but I will definitely order online, his shipping rates are more than decent. BTW, Thomas, please let me know when you get Cinematic back in stock, I am ready to purchase it!

I thought it was going to be a simple get in-choose a fragrance-buy-get out experience. Instead we received a story, with Thomas as a storyteller. A few words and he knew exactly what I was looking for, reducing the overwhelming selection to just a few perfumes. Despite all that, it was still hard to make up my mind because he was spot on in offering what I like. But he was there every step in guiding and explaining and having the outmost patience with us. He not only tried to find something I would love, but also something my girlfriend would (so I wouldn't sleep on the balcony anytime I wear the perfume). I am not so keen in shopping, especially perfumes, because it is hard to concentrate on a fragrance when you are surrounded by many other fragrances. The Perfumery is the opposite. It struck since I entered. A small place, but I couldn't smell anything. And that was a great help. It made me more aware of what I was trying.
So anytime I will want to change my perfume, Thomas will be my to-go man. He is knowledgeable and he loves what he is doing. Never have I been so pleased with a perfume choice. Many thanks to Thomas and Raul for their patience with us. Hope to see you soon

MAL, MUY MAL, OFENSIVAMENTE MAL.

Tienen un empleado grosero, faltón, maleducado, y maltratador de clientes en salón atizando al público con sus malas formas.

Un local donde maltratan, ofenden, e insultan al cliente. Soy coleccionista (tengo más de 100 colonias “de nicho”, compradas en varias boutiques de Barcelona, y otras ciudades de Europa: Nunca en toda mi vida como comprador había tenido esta experiencia) :

-Buenos días chicos ¿En qué les puedo ayudar?
-Buenos días, quisiera mirar un poco.
-¿Qué tipo de perfume quieres? ¿Cuál sueles usar?
-No sé, prefiero mirar antes.
-¡NO SE PUEDE MIRAR!
-¿Cómo?
-¡NO SE PUEDE MIRAR, SI NO VA A COMPRAR NO SE PUEDE MIRAR!
—Estoy alucinando.
-¡FUERA! -y nos ha echado de la tienda haciendo “port de bras”. Es la primera vez que me sucede en la vida, en los tres continentes donde he comprado perfumes en boutiques especializadas.

¿Cómo decidirse por un perfume? Hay personas que tienen gustos específicos, es decir, les gusta un solo tipo de fragancia, y compran solo ese. En mi caso particular las colecciono por lo que la colonia o perfume ofrezca olfativamente, de varios estilos; las tengo florales, amaderadas, con carácter más clásico, o más moderno, nocturnas, diurnas, de hombre, mujer, etc. ¿Cómo se decide un cliente? Pues en este caso oliendo el perfume, para lo cual la tienda cuenta con copas, y blooters. Este es un proceso personal en que el dependiente no tiene imprescindiblemente que estar, puede ir y venir, interactuar, y dejarle al cliente espacio para que se decida por una u otra fragancia.

El individuo que está en salón hoy maltratando al público peca de todas y cada una de las características que no debe tener alguien que trabaja de cara a público: es insolente, tiene poca paciencia, y es muy ofensivo. Nos ha echado, incluso haciendo “port de bras” -a un par de clientes, por demás "público target" de su producto- cuyo único “pecado” fue querer ver el producto. Veníamos de otra boutique de cosmética en el barrio donde habíamos comprado una pieza, después de ver varias, como normalmente se hace, cerca de esta infernal theperfumerybarcelona. El trato en la otra boutique fue lo que normalmente se espera: amable, afable, colaborante, y todo acabó con una feliz compra. El individuo (no sé si haya varios), de salón hoy sábado 21 de mayo de 2022 a las 12.00 es un grosero, maleducado y no debería estar atendiendo público.

Un lugar para no volver, y nunca recomendar.

Mal, muy mal.

El propietario ha contestado a mi crítica (14.04), con una agresión que por demás es una falsedad:
-No es un perfil falso el mío, es real, soy una persona que existe y que acaba de pasar por su tienda.
-No tengo una tienda de perfumes ni de ningún producto cosmético o no, simplemente no soy propietario de ningún comercio.
-Soy simple y llanamente un cliente, dos de hecho, quienes hemos sido MALTRATADOS en Theperfumerybarcelona.

Sugerencia para el Propietario de Theperfurmerybarcelona:

En vez de querer desmentir comentarios como el mío, de algo que SI SUCEDIÓ, debería Ud.mejorar su trato, y aprender modales y Atención al Público. Sencillamente carece Ud.de "don de gentes" para estar de cara a público.

Acabo de recibir mi segundo pedido y sin duda no será el último.
Tienen una gran variedad de perfumes, un envío inmediato, y ante todo, unos detalles de 10. Desde los envoltorios, los mensajes, la gran cantidad de muestras, que además puedes elegir. Un trato a la altura de sus productos, no se puede pedir más.
Obligada la visita en mi próximo viaje a Barcelona.

Hice el curso "iniciación al mundo del perfume", y no pude salir más contenta. Lo hice junto con mi marido porque somos unos apasionados del perfume, y pensamos que quizás sería demasiado teórico y poco dinámico, y nada que ver! Thomas es muy simpático, nos explicó conceptos a través de practicar y hacer actividades constantemente con perfumes. Salimos encantados, el tiempo pasó volando; y tenemos claro que haremos otro curso seguro!

It's rare that someone selling perfume isn't just trying to sell what's hot, but here, you will find a font of knowledge on the matter of perfume and an experience unlike any other. I normally want to be left to my devices and explore the offering on my own, but here, I advise you take the "guided tour": the owner knows what he's doing.

Hay perfumerías y boutiques de perfumes, esto es lo segundo. Para mi es un santuario, encuentras marcas exclusivas que solo puedes encontrarlas aquí; Renier, The Zoologist, Daniel Josiers, Thameen, Widian.entre otras más. El orden, la clase, la decoración y cada detalle de la tienda muestran la total entrega y devoción a este santuario de perfumes. Un detalle de premiun que yo destaco es que todas las fragancias que existen en la tienda tienen a su lado una campana especial donde el perfume se encuentra explayado abundantemente, lo que con solo cogerla y acércala al olfato podrás apreciar cada aroma de una manera súper rápida y limpia, así la que te guste podrás explayarla en tu piel sin llenarte los brazos de cosas que no deseas por echarlas a ciegas. Esto me pareció un detallazo de que ahorras mucho tiempo y te da una comodidad única. Otro punto que me encantó fue que Thom es muy cercano y amable y sabe de lo que habla, es sincero y te habla como un colega al que conoces de toda la vida; te aconseja y te cuenta anécdotas de las marcas que te ayudarán a conocerlas mejor. Es un gran maestro, además su tienda tiene una parte habilitada para talleres sobre perfumerías y demás, en los que vienen y es amigo de ciertos perfumistas de prestigio a nivel internacional. Sin duda para mi fue un placer el poder conocer su magnífica tienda y a su dueño, sin duda volveré. Es más tiene un magnifico servicio online a la altura de pocas, cuenta con discoveryset personalizados a un precio brutal con descuentos para las próximas adquisiciones de tu botella favorita. Hay ciertas marcas de renombre con las que tiene un trato especial de que directamente te hace un 10% de descuento, lo que es algo que me parece magnífico.
Sin duda se ha convertido en unas de mis tiendas de confianza.

I am so happy to have stumbled across this hidden gem of a store. You won't find anything you already know - most of the brands are extremely rare. Although I have a very specific taste for fragrances, and I have long been looking for a specific one - I found it here. The gentleman who is keeping this shop is very knowledgable and very attentive to each customer who walks through the door.

Reseña basada en mi primera compra de esta perfumería. Compre un discovery set y todo perfecto. Me atrevo a decir que la cantidad de los samples en todos los perfumes sobrepasaba el 1,5 ml, además me incluyeron 2 samples más de su firma Taraq y Santalla que he de decir que son espectaculares. Sin duda repetiré!
