Had a fabulous time with our group of 8 total and our guide Brian. He brought us through the back alleys and narrow streets of Barcelona and kept us off the touristy main streets, and peppered the tour with lots of interesting tidbits about the city, the history of Catalunya, the food culture in Barcelona, and himself! The pace was perfect - a great combination of eating, walking, touring, and photospots so just when you were getting full, you had the opportunity to have a little walk to work up an appetite for the next stop. We went to at least 5 separate eateries (although I honestly I started losing count), some of them quite historic including the famed 4 Cats cafe. The tour even vetted out the best churros and best chocolate in the city (separate businesses), and brokered a deal that enabled us to try them together!

Brian was a delight and in many of the restaurants, clearly knew the staff and owners - this was great as it made us feel like VIPs and also gave us some insight into the history of the business - some of them had been open and family run for many years! And weirdly - even though Brian is American-born - I felt that to be a plus: he was able to answer some of the more "basic" questions I might have been uncomfortable asking to a local, and given his time spent living in Spain thus far, I felt like he was still able to give us a really down-to-earth, local introduction to the city.

Due to the size of the group, we only went to places where they could make reservations and seat a large group in a private back room. So we didn't visit any truly hole-in-the-wall places, but all the food was good so we didn't really mind. I will say this tour is possibly better for the beginning of your visit to Spain rather than the end. My partner and I had visited San Sebastian prior to Barcelona, and so many of the foods Brian was "introducing" like boquerones and croquettes we had already enjoyed and indulged in many times before.

Had a great time! Our tour guide made it very evident about his passion with his work. He exposed us to the hidden gems for food and drink in Barcelona and also gave a little history lesson to increase our appreciation for the culture and origins of some of the local delicacies.

I live in Barcelona and always recommend Wanderbeak when visitors ask me for the best way to see the city and get to know its food scene. Marwa and the team are absolutely passionate about what they do and couldn't be lovelier!

Hands down the best food and drinks tour my wife and I have ever been on! Brian is a phenomenal guide. You can tell from the way they run the tour, that they have an absolute passion for it. We tried amazing tapas, from places that were so good, we actually went back for another bite the next day. And don't hesitate to ask for recommendations as they are very well versed in the area. Not only do you get amazing food and drinks, you get a bit of history along with looking for little "easter eggs" that were left behind from over the ages. The tour officially ended with a wine tasting, but everyone had such an amazing time we went out for drinks after! I would not hesitate to book any of the tours they offer at all. It didn't feel like any other tour we have been on, but rather meeting up with a friend (Brian) that just happens to know the area really well. Thank you to Wanderbeak, Brain and Marwa for an amazing time in Barcelona, we can't wait to come back!

We recently took the Wanderbeak tour with Sevan. We had an amazing time. Sevan was such a great guide. He is very warm and friendly and made the group feel like a bunch of freinds from the beginning. The food was delicous and worth the price. I read some reviews saying the "with the locals" claim was inaccurate because you start at a time of day when the locals are not eating. However, I thought it was nice to be out of the main dinner rush, AND the tour lasts several hours so you end during the main dinner time. That was a positive for me! I highly recommend this tour and Sevan in particular.

Absolutely loved our Savor Spain tour with Brian! Great food and a lot of great history and information. We started our trip with this tour and Brian gave us a ton of other recommendations for the rest of our trip (and all of them were great!) I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Barcelona!

A wonderful start to our Spain vacation. Evelyn was the perfect tour guide that was energetic, easy to talk to and had so much knowledge about the history of Spain. We loved all the food and drinks. Would definitely recommend!

Blanca was wonderful! My dad, who organized the tour for us, was convinced it would be just our family going on the tour. So we were a little surprised when other people joined the group- it was a little awkward at first since my family are not people-people. But after a little bit of wine it was totally fine. Especially with the help of our wonderful tour guide who rocked our world.

Our Wanderbeak Tapas Tour was one of the very top highlights of our trip to Barcelona, I recommend them with the highest enthusiasm! We booked a group of 6 for a private tour with Rowan, and he was a funny, knowledgeable, and very fun guide through the best places to eat and drink in Barcelona's el Born neighborhood. We visited some hidden gems that we would have otherwise walked right past, and I'm so glad we had Rowan's guidance as we sampled authentic foods and beverages in local settings. If you are visiting Barcelona, take a Wanderbeak walking tour early in your trip so that you can get a sense of where you like and where you may want to visit again later in your stay! A+, highly recommended.

A private tapas tour with Wanderbeak is a must for anyone visiting Barcelona. I recommend taking the tour early in your stay as Rowan and Marwa provide valuable information about the city’s history and country’s food and drink that will help guide you through the rest of your trip.

I write this one month removed from my visit, and it’s one of the top highlights my group and I have talked about each day since. Thank you, Rowan and Marwa!

One of the BEST things we did while in Barcelona! We highly recommend doing this tour one of the first days you are in Barcelona because the guides do an incredible job of helping you understand the history of the area, how certain foods came to be, and the best places to enjoy Spanish/Catalan cuisine throughout your stay. Rowan was detailed and thoughtful in the places he chose and the people he introduced us to. We were impressed with his knowledge and thoroughly enjoyed our time together drinking and eating our way through the Gothic Quarter, Born and more! Thank you, Rowan and Marwa!

Blanca was AMAZING! My husband and I decided to take this tour our first day in the Barcelona, mainly to learn our way around the city, while enjoying a little food here and there. We had no idea what we were in for! Our guide, Blanca, took us to so many incredible places to eat, drink and learn things about the culture. My appreciation for this city grew just from having had this experience. She was fun, energetic, informative and very educated. I would recommend ANYONE taking this tapas tour, first timers or return visitors. Do yourself a favor and take this fun, delicious and informative tour!

Food, culture and history is essential to my travel - and the Wanderbeak walking food tour achieved all these!

Led by a guide who is passionate about food, history, and a true love for Barcelona, you get a unique feel for the colours of the city, and a taste for the amazing foods from different regions of Spain with a historical and cultural perspective.

I would also recommend being a little hungry before joining the tour, as the variety and amount of food your taste buds experience is fabulous!

Thank you Wanderbeak for a wonderful and personal experience.

Barcelona Shopping Tour:
A very special tour that takes you shopping in the area of Born, we started off with a glass of fancy cava and visited around 15 shops, meeting some of the designers, and stopping for vermut, tapas and and olive oil tasting! It is about 4 hours, time flies by! I liked that most of the stores are more independent designers and brands, mostly handmade in Spain products or really special items, which you might not discover on your own. I was on my own but the group was so much fun, we almost felt like in Sex in the City! Loved the tour and loved Marwa, our guide. Looking forward to doing the food tour at some point!

An AMAZING experience for the senses!
I recently went to a Wanderbeak food tour and I loooved it. I am Spanish, Barcelona lover so I was very curious to see what new things I could discover of this enchanting city. And yesss, I certainly did. Marwa's passion telling the different stories of the places and the food is contagious and I quickly found myself mind-travelling over the hours to regions in Spain at different times in history. The small, petit comité group, made is easy to move around as we wandered through charming parts of the city and a variety of restaurants, all unique in their own style. The arquitecture made us dream and the alleyways provided shadow and kept us fresh even in hot weather so the walk turned into a delicious experience for the senses! Don´t miss it and come hungry! ….
