Colorful Wines, Madrid

Mi esposa y yo disfrutamos mucho de nuestro viaje de cata de vinos a Duero del Ribera con Jimena. Nos recogió en nuestro hotel de Madrid con un conductor y nos fuimos. ¿Necesitas parar para almorzar? No. Las bodegas tenían una comida tan hermosa que no era necesario. De hecho, el brunch en Pedrosa fue una de nuestras comidas más memorables en España. Escogió excelentes bodegas y tenía un excelente conocimiento del vino. Un día divertido, envié mucho vino a casa y fue tan divertido como esperábamos:)

Jimena, unfortunately could not be with us on our Wine & Tapas tour, instead she arranged for another sommelier to be with us. Esther was exceptional in her knowledge and manner. We visited three different wine bars and tasted vermouth straight from the barrel for the first time in an old bar, exquisite! The two other wine bars were amazing, we particularly liked the Cava and Amontillado at Vides and of course the tortilla. Tasting red wines from Rioja and Ribera Del Duero side by side was a wonderful way to finish the evening.

We will definitely do this tour again when we are next in Madrid.

Jimena was a great guide. We did the tapas and wine tour with her. My only regret is that we didn't spend more time together.

Jimena was very knowledgeable about wines and answered all of our questions. Learning about the food and culture made the experience very enriching and I'm grateful for it.

Will plan to return to Madrid or the surrounding areas and take a longer and more wine focused tour with Jimena. Thank you again!

Highly recommended experience. We really enjoyed the wines and the places we went with Jimena. It was part of an international program that we prepared in the company and it was a complete success. We all liked it very much.

Voy a hacer el resumen en castellano porque también podría interesar a la gente de Suramérica. Fuimos un grupo mixto con gente de china, holanda y panamá. Todo fue super bien organizado una agenda llena pero no apretada. 4 bodegas muy distintos. También voy a hacer una cata en Madrid con Jimena un día de estos.

Jimena, desafortunadamente no pudo estar con nosotros en nuestro tour de Vinos y Tapas, sino que organizó que otro sommelier estuviera con nosotros. Esther fue excepcional en su conocimiento y manera. Visitamos tres vinotecas diferentes y probamos por primera vez el vermú directo de barrica en un bar antiguo, ¡exquisito! Los otros dos bares de vinos eran increíbles, nos gustó especialmente el Cava y el Amontillado en Vides y, por supuesto, la tortilla. Degustar vinos tintos de Rioja y Ribera del Duero uno al lado del otro fue una manera maravillosa de terminar la velada.

Definitivamente haremos esta gira nuevamente la próxima vez que estemos en Madrid.

Jimena fue una gran guía. Hicimos el tour de tapas y vinos con ella. Lo único que lamento es no haber pasado más tiempo juntos.

Jimena conocía mucho los vinos y respondió a todas nuestras preguntas. Aprender sobre la comida y la cultura hizo que la experiencia fuera muy enriquecedora y estoy agradecido por ello.

I arranged a full day wine tour with Jimena for a corporate event in Madrid for 22 people, we visited multiple stunning vineyards and finished the day off with a gorgeous bbq lunch on top of a mountain overlooking the rolling hills. My group are quite particular and I had several bespoke requests that Jimena managed to cater to perfectly. We honestly had the most outstanding experience, something that we will remember for a lifetime. The standard and service was extraordinary and I would highly recommend.

If you are ever in Spain, you will certainly want to contact Colorful Wines for an amazing tapas and wine tour. We actually did two because we enjoyed it so much!

Had the best time with Jimena for our central madrid tapas and wine tour! It was so lovely learning about the local Spanish food and wines, Jimena was so knowledgeable. I wished we had booked it at the beginning of our trip because she gave us so many ideas of places to return to visit. Organicé un recorrido vinícola de día completo con Jimena para un evento corporativo en Madrid para 22 personas, visitamos varios viñedos impresionantes y terminamos el día con un magnífico almuerzo de barbacoa en la cima de una montaña con vistas a las colinas. Mi grupo es bastante particular y tuve varias solicitudes personalizadas que Jimena logró atender a la perfección. Sinceramente vivimos la experiencia más destacada, algo que recordaremos toda la vida. El nivel y el servicio fueron extraordinarios y lo recomendaría encarecidamente.

We had the best experience on Jimena’s Central Madrid wine and tapas tour! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Madrid that wants to learn more about Spanish wine and traditional tapas. If there is a must do in Madrid, this is it! We are wine lovers and and there was not a wine on this tour we did not love! She is beyond knowledgeable of the wine countries, the wine making process, and can pick out the best fit wine for your taste. We highly recommend taking this tour!

Jimena helped to organise an excellent team building afternoon. Her service and support in advance of the day was great, especially as it was quite short notice. She designed a lovely afternoon for us visiting a gorgeous winery outside Madrid. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the location and the activities. Such a special experience! I reserved the private jamón and wine tour with Jimena as a Christmas gift for my husband. From the moment I reached out to Jimena, she was super responsive and accommodating. My husband loves jamón and learning about wine, so this was pretty much his dream come true. While not quite the aficionado he is, I had a great time, too!
