The downstairs stage (walking down beneath a superb chandelier) was so intimate. The bilingual introduction made us ready for the stunning musical and dance performances. Fantastic rhythm from all the musicians. In Madrid there must be many flamenco venues but if you choose Flamenco Essential you wont be disappointed. 5 stars is not enough!

Incredible experience! Our first flamenco show and it was nothing short of amazing. Each performer was phenomenal and they all had great chemistry between them. The setting was very intimate and exceeded all expectations

Sehr authentisch! Es gab ganz wenige Teilnehmer, daher war die Show sehr intim und persönlich? Das Personal ist super nett und freundlich, die Künstler sind sehr talentiert, man sieht, dass sie auch sehr viel Spaß dabei haben Und dass vor der Show kurz aber sehr informativ erklärt wird, was man von Flamenco unbedingt wissen sollte, fand ich auch toll ️

La camarera es lo mejor, buen ambiente aunque es más mayor, típico sitio de huertas, no le pongo más estrellas quizás por la música pero no es tan mala siempre me lo he pasado súper bien.

Me ha encantado el espectáculo! Se siente mucha pasión por la música y el baile gitano. Una pasada todo. Hay que ir a verlo. Recomiendo 100% No se van a arrepentir.

I never saw a Flamenco Show before so I cannot compare but Flamenco Essential provided everything I wished for: great seating, a nice atmosphere and location, delicious drinks, super friendly staff and most important: amazing artists. The emotions carried by the dancing and music was absolutely breathtaking and infectious. I am still at awe. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Madrid.

Flamenco of the highest quality in a deeply intimate setting. The music and dance is the sole focus here with no dinner to get in the way.

Al show en sí le podría haber dado 5 estrellas, pero desgraciadamente dejaron entrar a un bebé que estuvo chillando y llorando el 80% del tiempo.

Sin duda la mejor atracción de danza Flamenca en Madrid. En principio hay una persona que nos cuenta la historia y origen del flamenco y de los gitanos. Tiene duración de aproximadamente 1h. La gente ahí es muy amable. Volveré sin dudas.

Situado a medio camino entre la Puerta del Sol y el Barrio de las Letras, este tablao flamenco de la calle de la Cruz esconde en su sótano una cueva abovedada revestida de ladrillo donde se puede disfrutar de un espectáculo flamenco sin artificios, en el que el respeto por este arte, la intimidad y la complicidad entre sus artistas son sus señas de identidad.
El local que ocupa Torero mide 500 m2, tiene un aforo total para 197 personas y se divide en dos plantas. En la planta a nivel de calle se encuentra un bar - cafetería con algunas mesas y sillas y un pequeño escenario en el que se puede disfrutar de actuaciones de flamenco cortas, de unos 15 minutos de duración, además de una sala para exposiciones y eventos puntuales, con capacidad para 50 personas. Bajando una escalera enmoquetada, se accede al sótano enladrillado en el que se alojan una sala para clases y ensayos y el escenario principal, con aforo para 70 espectadores sentados en semicírculo, donde se desarrolla el espectáculo Essential Flamenco, cuyo director artístico es Juan “el Mistela”, Premio Nacional de la Crítica Flamenca.
En Torero no se sirven comidas, como sucede en otros tablaos, para no interferir en el silencio creativo que necesitan los artistas. Al ser un espacio pequeño, no se necesitan micrófonos ni altavoces, llegando al público el sonido de los instrumentos y las voces limpios.

A great show, awesome experience, especially if it’s your first time watching flamenco.i was there in the 21: 00 show. Very intimate. Got the tickets 30 min before show started, in the place itself. There’s a also a bar you can buy drinks before the show starts.

El camarero de la sala de abajo David, es súper majo y merece la pena estar aquí por gente como él

Sentimiento de ESTAFA TOTAL,
Fuimos a ver un espectáculo de muestra, es decir totalmente gratis, de 20min, allí, pedimos unas bebidas para hacer más ameno el espectáculo, en concreto, Fanta de naranja y una cerveza, a parte de que el servicio fue lento, nos llamó desde la barra para recoger estas bebidas, a nuestra sorpresa, la Fanta estaba ya servida, así que no podría asegurar si su procedencia es de un botellin de vidrio o botella de plástico de 2l, quién sabe. En fin, hasta allí "bien", lo mejor de todo era ver la cuenta, 4€ por cada bebida total 8€ (os adjunto la imagen), lo que más me gustó fue la respuesta de la camarera, que alegaba que asi es Madrid, con tal de justificar lo.
En definitiva, mando saludos desde Ibiza, sitio en el cual he nacido y donde puedo asegurar, que encontrar un local con esta calidad de servicio y este precio no existen.
Resumiendo, ESTAFA, no volveré ni lo recomiendo a nadie.

Amazing flamenco! I loved the energy of the dancers and the skill of the musicians, especially the addition of a violinist and drummer. Well placed seating also means you always have a good view and no food served throughout stops the show from being constantly interrupted.

Very nice show, I strongly recommend it! The show takes place downstairs in a vaulted cellar making it very cosy. The show itself was authentic and powerful.

Very expensive hour.

I was looking for good entertainment and booked the show for EUR 35, for this amount I of course had some expectations. 1 drink was included;
In the cellar there was the small stage where they performed, 36-40 people in the small room, during Covid times. Doors shut no ventilation. Plastic screens in front of stage as covid protection probably changing acoustics dramatically. This was flamenco without audible guitar which to me is no flamenco at all. The guitar player was very difficult to hear and the drums and shoes of the female dancer were crushing the guitar sound. Somebody sat at a mixing device but nothing was amplified or mixed at all. Finally I was quite shocked that after 1 expensive hour, this flamenco show was over! If the show had been amazing then yes but I think the quality of the players was too mediocre to be worth this money for 1 hour.
17,50 EURO would-be a maximum reasonable price in my view.
