Enso Sushi - Alicante

La comida muy buena como en otras ocasiones de los mejores. Para mi gusto exceso de atención y prisa por recogerte todo los platos, traerte la cuenta y en cobrarte.

Based on the look of the place and the good comments, me and 3 other friends, being fervent sushi eaters, wanted to try this joint out. It looked very promising. Very nice place, original dishes but I'm afraid it's at the expense of the taste of the food.

Let me just share our experiences:
- The tartare of salmon was too brightly acidified so the flavor of the salmon was completely gone. You only tasted the acid.
- The uramaki spicy tuna: The texture of the tuna on top looked like a slush and that's how it tasted in your mouth. Little flavor as well.
- The maki veggie was OK, no more no less
- The uramaki Enso with foie was original and also OK. The taste of the foie could have been emphasized a bit more.
- The gyoza waygu were very tasty. But for 7 EUR for 2 mini-gyoza's I will not go back for.

Actually, we were still hungry after this but given the prices and the substandard sushi, we didn't see the point in ordering more and went for a pizza afterwards.

We were disappointed because given the more expensive prices our expectations were higher than we got.

If you're going for the experience of dining out nice and special, then you're definitely going to have a good time. But if you're going for the sushi experience, you're going to find better sushi bars in Alicante that are cheaper for a better taste.

We went to Enso for our wedding anniversary after reading reviews however, I regrettably must say I was disappointed. I was excited as I come from Japan and thought I would get what people tend to call, "authentic" Japanese food. When I saw Yamada Nishiki being served, and first off the seaweed vinaigrette salad starter tasted good and the host was attentive.
We ordered starting with miso soup which was nice but it was too salty. The sake, we ordered hot sake and it came almost cold - the bottle was just about luke warm plus was served much later after food had already arrived, the gyoza skin was too thick like a typical "Asian food" restaurant (and there is a Japanese restaurant that serves gyoza with proper skinner skin in Spain) and the presentation was sloppy just pouring sauce on too big plate with only 2 gyozas on it. The tuna tataki was nice but how it is supposed to be seared (at least that is what "tataki" is), I cannot say they did a good job. The uramaki sushi, spring roll, had green onion on the outside which some people may enjoy but for me, it took away the taste of the salmon and prawn but presentation (color coordination was beautiful). The salmon teriyaki, again the presentation was beautiful but the teriyaki sauce was an over-kill to taste the natural salmon flavor and the plate is expected to be preheated but the food was put on a cold plate. All the food was presented beautifully but what is expected to be hot food all came lukewarm or cold (except the sushi and tataki)
So 5 star for the location, ambience, quality of ingredients used, and all presentations, 3 star for the service (how plates were placed or took away from the table, slow service and temperature of the food). All things considered, the price is not reasonable.

El local muy bueno, bonito y agradable. La atención genial y toda la comida muy rica, pero.ciertos platos demasiado caros por la calidad de los productos. Ojo con lo que se pide

La comida es promedio, en comparación con el precio, los ingredientes son muy generales, pero el servicio es bueno.

Pedimos el menú de degustación y la calidad de la comida y su elaboración fue muy buena, pero es una pena que el servicio no sea igual. Nos metieron prisa desde el principio, los platos se colapsaban unos a otros, me retiraron el plato con el bocado en la boca, tanto que no tuve la oportunidad de poder decirle que esparara a retirarlo porque tenía la boca llena. Creo que si pido un menú degustación es exactamente para eso, para DE GUS TAR, y no que te sirvan como un restaurante chino al uso. Por supuesto que le comuniqué mi desagrado al camarero que no tuvo más que reconocer el mal servicio. Una pena la verdad

Very disappointed, my partner is Japanese so we went after seeing the good reviews but left very disappointed.
Miso soup, a highlight but too salty. Bonito tataki, not a great sear, fish cut a little thick. Tuna tataki, best dish we had, really good.
Gyoza, why only two dumplings, all others we saw had four? The dumplings too thick and chewy, sauce too many chives.
Uramaki sushi spring onion, outside was rolled in chives, took away the flavour
Salmon teriyaki, like no teriyaki we have ever had, sauce was way too sweet, tasted more like hickory smoked bbq sauce, plate was cold, meaning food got cold quickly too.
Sake, yamadanishiki, we ordered it warmed, caliente, we got cold, never mind it was ok

Over all an underwhelming experience

Un Japo muy especial, alta calidad, gran servicio. Merece la pena probar el menú especial Enso. 42€ por nueve platos más postre aunque no incluye bebidas ni café.

Enso sigue siendo el sitio donde la comida y el ambiente japonés se respira, he probado el de los Belones (Cartagena), el de murcia y el de Alicante y a todos ellos hay q darles un sobresaliente. No solo la calidad del producto que es magnifica, sino también el trato y el buen hacer. Espectacular

Sin duda el mejor japonés de Alicante por su producto, servicio, entorno, y situación clave. Un placer volver

Fui ayer martes con mi pareja y realmente bueno. El ambiente con un hilo música acertado, muy buena atención de los trabajadores, buenos tiempos con los platos y la comída muy rica toda. El nigiri de wagyu muy muy recomendable

Probamos el menú enso expeirence y está todo muy bueno. El personal muy amable y muy atento en todo momento. Volveremos seguro.

Buen local, servicio amable… pero niguiris con arroz insípido y poco delicado, falto de un adecuado tratamiento con vinagre; Cortes de pescado prudentes y combinaciones mejores en papel que en el paladar. No obstante, quizás es que he probado sólo lo que sé que me gusta, y no la fusión que ofrecen. En fin: comentario a revisar en el futuro.

La calidad de la comida es muy buena, la atención exquisita, el local tranquilo y acogedor.

Es perfecto para una cena tranquila en pareja pero ten en cuenta que las raciones son escasas y las elaboraciones no son sorprendentes.

Hemos ido unas cuantas veces y hemos salido a unos 50€/60€ por cabeza. Por ese precio hay opciones realmente buenas en Alicante

Para mi, el mejor Sushi de Alicante. No dejes de probar las Hotate Furai, sus estupendos makis y uramakis. El de atún picante o el enso. Una maravilla! De postre no te olvides del Crepe del Cielo.

Espectacular. Tanto el producto como el servicio. Visita obligada si vienes a Alicante y eres sibarita de la comida asiatica

La mejor calidad de producto, al final se paga, pero si vas a empezar a probar el sushi o quieres probar nuevos platos.mejor hacerlo donde hay calidad.

Una experiencia magnífica de comida japonesa donde disfrutar de la calidad y profesionalidad, todo un acierto.

Buen sitio para compartir y celebrar con amigos y familiares. La calidad del producto es ecepcional

Una explosión de sabores, un espectáculo para el paladar. Totalmente recomendable. Seguiremos volviendo! Trato y profesionalidad excelentes.
