El Palace Hotel Barcelona

Best hotel in Barcelona! We stayed at El Palace to celebrate the pregnancy of an old friend and it was more than we could have hoped for!

Every single member of staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. They did everything in their power to make our trip a truly unforgettable occasion.

Not only that, the rooftop terrace is a beautiful place for any time of day from lounging by the pool to the outdoor cinema and live music. The food was excellent morning till night. A must visit if you are unable to stay there. The location is prefect for walking getting around the city and walking to nearby shops and great restaurants.

A special thanks to the general manager who paid extra attention to us - he gave a stuffed animal and set up our room to congratulate the impending baby of our best friend. We will be back!

We had the pleasure to stay at El Palace Hotel with our 8 month year old son.
From the Airport Pick up until the early morning (5am) departure due to the flight that was canceled the night before, an amazing stay. The helpful and super friendly staff did everything and more then we could have asked for to make us feel comfortable and at home during our stay. One of those great classy hotels with a lot of history!

Lovely Rooftop Terrace with Pool and open air cinema in the center of Barcelona.

We loved every minute of it and will most definitely be back at El Palace on our next stop in town.

Thanks also to the nice General Manager for the thoughtful stuffed animal gift for our son. It made his flight back home a lot more enjoyable! Thanks for that gesture!

Pues me parece que la comida y bebida que ofrecen en la terraza no es tan buena para lo que vale. Uno paga más por el sitio, que es bonito pero tampoco las vistas son espectaculares. No volveremos.

We order a bottle of wine and the one that we ordered was like around 42€ which isn’t cheap but also not expensive, And they told us ohh we are sorry but this is not available I have this 2 other options and we said ok, we stayed with the one from the same winery house. And when the bill arrive was 68€ the bottle, isn’t all about the price, is more about how they took advantage of the situation: 1) because they didn’t explain about the price and the type between wines 2) because we were communicating in English and not Spanish/Catalan, So they took advantage thinking we were tourist what they don’t know is that we lived here. In any case if you wanna engage with customer you should explain everything specially in a place like this, Not matter if there’s the cheapest place or the expensive one taking care of your local customers is essential since they will be always in Barcelona and Covid situation has had demonstrated.
