Pedí euros pero insistieron en darme billetes de dólares. ¡Resulta que los billetes de un dólar eran billetes viejos y sin valor!
Ladrones y estafadores, tengan cuidado con ellos. Ella no aceptó darnos euros. Dijo: "Sólo les daré un dólar o en su moneda". Luego nos habló de convertir la moneda entre el euro y el dólar, y se sentó junto a ella hasta que pensó que valían lo mismo.y nos dio un dólar, y el día que volvimos a Arabia Saudita a gastarlos, el dólar resultó viejo y gastado, y ella no Gástalo donde quieras. Solo aceptas Euror.

Lamentable. No recomendable. Estafa total en el cambio.
Desconozco si es solamente esta Oficina de Global en el aeropuerto T1, la que se encuentra en una esquina al final de los mostradores de check-in, o si la estafa es en general de la empresa Global Exchange.

Estafadores absolutos, dicen que no hay comisión, pero la forma en que evitan esto es bajando el tipo de cambio.

Recomendación:
Obtenga su efectivo antes de salir del país o cambie dinero con otra empresa o banco propio

El curso que ofrecen es un robo! El cambio que ofrecen por cambiar euros a Indonesian rupiah es casi 20% menos de lo que te cambian en Bali, sin comisión. Por 580€ que cambié, perdí 108€ por la desfavorable diferencia de curso. Es una estafa.

Nos han estafado. Hemos cambiado 88 euros a coronas checas y solo nos han dado 1400 CZK. Se han quedado aproximadamente un tercio de todo lo que llevábamos. No perdáis el tiempo ni el dinero. Le pongo una estrella porque menos no puedo:).

Muy mal. Cambio euros por coronas checas. La tasa de cambio terrible, me dan 16.10 coronas por euro cuando el cambio está a 24.30, sablazo del 33%. Obviamente, mejor pagar en destino con tarjeta de crédito, nunca llegarán a estos porcentajes. Pero cambio poco dinero para gastos menores en efectivo a inicio de viaje. LO PEOR: De los 3 billetes que me dan, me dan un billete no válido que detecto estando en el avión (billete viejo del período 1995-1999). Se pueden cambiar en el Banco Nacional Checo, ¿Pero quién quiere perder tiempo en algo así estando de viaje? En Praga logré cambio de 24.20 en oficinas de cambio serias, y no 'se les coló' ni un billete no válido.

Scam warning: the Global Blue representatives will tell you that you NEED to use Global exchange to get your refund. This is false. You should instead mail in your tax free forms with the credit card option chosen. The mail boxes are right by the customs section. Unfortunately I believed them and even though I was adamant that I wanted a credit card refund and marked credit card on my receipts, they convinced me that it had to be cash instead. After that, they wouldn’t allow my cash refund to be in EUR and it has to be a foreign currency. This is another lie, reading other reviews you should be firm to ask for EUR back. I received a rate of 1 EUR = 0.9 SGD when the market rate is 1.4. That means they took away 35% of the refund as profit. I saw a Korean couple come back and question why their refund was so low, had assumed they were disappointed by perhaps the usual commissions of 10% even 15%. But 35% is crazy. The lines are very long as well, so it seems like the majority of people are being scammed. Surprising that Barcelona authorities allow this business to operate.
I went back to the Global Blue representative to complain, but she was firm that the exchange is the right route to get the refund. When I mentioned the exchange rates were horrible, she said she’s not responsible for the rates and quickly walked away. So in the future- always use the mailboxes and get a credit card refund, don’t listen to Global Blue representatives!

I don't understand how a "business" like this is allowed in an airport. I dont understand why it is allowed that they advertise "no commission". Their exchange rate hides a +30% fee. You will get better value anywhere else.

Nunca nunca cambies tu dinero aquí. El cambio es una vergüenza. Luego te dicen que te devuelven todo y en verdad solo el 50% del que adquieres. UNA ESTAFA

INEPTOS, DESAGRADABLES Y TRATO NEFASTO. Llegamos a las 23: 30 y me acerco al centro de Salidas, con la intención de cambiar coronas a 50€ el dinero sobrante del viaje.  Yamira, la empleada que había en ese momento, ve que me acerco y lo primero que veo es que me lanza una mirada de asco. Veo que está contando caja. Le pido que me cambie el dinero y me dice "Estoy contando caja, esta caja ya está cerrada, vete al centro que hay en la entrada del aeropuerto y pídelo allí". He tratado con personas desagradables, pero esta se lleva la palma. Le pido de nuevo que por favor me lo cambie y me dice que NO sin dar pie a ningún otro comentario o ayuda. El centro cerraba a las 24h y esa persona a las 23: 30h se negó rotundamente a atenderme. Me despido de mi cuñada que tenía prisa y me dirijo con el resto de mi familia cruzando todo el aeropuerto cargados con las maletas al otro punto Exchange. Cuando por fin lo encuentro, nos atiende José Antonio Fernández, que nos dice que no nos puede cambiar el dinero al no estar mi cuñada, quien había firmado el documento del primer cambio de moneda. Y que si nos lo cambia, sería descontando la cantidad que ellos consideran por comisión. Le explico que vengo del otro centro donde su increíblemente desagradable compañera prácticamente nos echó sin dar más explicación y que mi cuñada se había ido ya (vive en Tarragona). Si Yanira, hubiese hecho su trabajo durante SU JORNADA LABORAL en lugar de decidir cerrar media hora antes, no tendríamos este problema. Ante esta situación pido la hoja de reclamaciones y Jose Antonio SE NIEGA A FACILITÁRMELA.
Expongo aquí este trato nefasto por parte de Yanira, una persona que no puede ser más INCOMPETENTE y VAGA en su trabajo y no debería tratar JAMÁS de cara al público, y de Juan Antonio, que también me parece inepto en su trabajo, ya que no quiso facilitarme la hoja de reclamaciones algo que está obligado a hacer. Jamás recomendaría este centro, el PEOR TRATO QUE HE RECIBIDO EN MI VIDA. Mi cuñada tendrá que venir expresamente desde Tarragona, gracias a YANIRA para que nos devuelvan 50€. Yo también he trabajado en caja de cara al público y aunque una persona venga 1 minuto antes del cierre y ya hayas contado caja, la atiendes, para eso te pagan. Es TU trabajo.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME TO QUE. THIS LOOK LEGIT BUT IT IS NOT THE OFFICIAL GLOBAL BLUE/ PLANET TAX REFUND OFFICE.

Cash refund in Euro is not available. They forced you to receive in local/ USD currency with 30%-40% marked up to current FX rate!

My refund amount is at EUR197 but I only received USD145 which is a loss of EUR 50 or USD50. They charged me 1EUR for 0.77USD, when the market FX rate is 1EUR for 1USD in October 2022. See my receipt.

I have insist that she either pay me in EUR or I want to reject the refund and ask her not to proceed. But the lady were rude insist she had processed the form, she only can pay in USD or local currency (with tax ridiculous FX rate) and it cannot be undo. SUCH A SCAM!

Don’t get cash refund. It’s very simple, head to the scanner and validate, then write you account detalles and sign it, all on the form. Head towards mailbox and send it. Money to account.

It’s hard to believe that Barcelona authorities allow this business to operate within the airport. While the responsibility lies with the person exchanging foreign notes, travelers also trust the integrity of businesses operating within secure airport zones. Changing €700 euro to UAE Dirham, this company charged over €100 in fees. Sheer daylight robbery and a disappointing end to a good trip in Spain.

Would give 0 star if it was possible. Get your tax refund using your credit card, and NEVER use Global Exchange in BCN airport.

Unable to get my tax refund in EUR as their excuse was that I was leaving the EU and had to accept the tax refund in my home currency instead. Was initially offered an unbelievable exchange rate of 1 EUR: 1.12 SGD and when rejected, the lady “called her supervisor” and the exchange rate miraculously increased to 1 EUR: 1.45 SGD in the space of 3 minutes.

Still felt it was a scam and after over 15 mins of persistence, the lady finally refunded me in EUR.

To enjoy a stress-free pre-departure, please do not ever patronize this scam. Get your tax refunded through credit card instead.

Las oficinas de 24 hs están vacías. Para quienes necesitamos que se nos entregue el dinero en efectivo es un gran problema. Me recorrí todas las oficinas y en ninguna había personal. Acaso no reciben un sueldo? Hagan su trabajo. Perdí mucho dinero y tiempo. Tenía un vuelo y no podía quedarme a esperar que aparezca alguien. Fui a las oficinas cerca de las puertas D y E, obvio también vacías. Ya se me hacía la hora de embarcar y no podía volver a las máquinas de tax free manual porque están RE LEJOS Y ESTABA CARGADA CON VALIJAS. DEBERÍAN PONER UNAS MÁQUINAS MÁS CERCA DE LAS PUERTAS PARA QUE SE NOS DEVUELVA ALGO DE DINERO ANTES DE EMBARCAR SI NO HAY NADIE EN LAS OFICINAS QUE NOS ATIENDA.

Outright Scam! They will give you an absolutely ridiculous rate and also try to confuse you by saying they don't have enough change and ask to swap money with you but you will end up giving them more money instead! AVOID. Do your tax refund somewhere else!

Crooks and criminals. These are the same kind of people that will charge you 10x the price of the taxi because you are a tourist and might not know better. Tried to do a vat refund here and they wanted to exchange euros to dollars for a rate of. 88 dollars for a euro when it was. 88 euros for a dollar. Said maybe you have it backwards and then the teller says ok he can do better. 89. He later says he can do 1: 1 and at this point he gives up and gives it to us in euros. There's a special place in hell for people that are willing to take advantage of people like this.
