Hostel One Ramblas, Barcelona

Lovely host, nice bed and in a good location! One of the best hostel I’ve ever been to and I highly recommend!

Awesome! The staff were amazing and helpful, and the activities they plan for guests are so much fun. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be returning to stay again.

Such an amazing hostel! Perfect for solo travellers wanting to explore the city in the day and go out at night. The volunteers organise free day and night activities, so it’s really easy to meet people and experience Barcelona with friends from around the world. Thank you Louis, Dev and Tom for a great trip!

This hostel is the best hostel I've stayed in. The location is great, the amenities you get for the price is crazy, the people in this hostel are amazing, and the community feeling is unreal. I only stayed for 3 days but met really good people that I'll stay in contact with for a long time. I want to give shout outs to Dev, Tom, and Kitty, who made sure I had everything I needed and also made sure I had a fantastic time while I stayed here. Though I had to move on with my my trip through Spain and Portugal, staying at this hostel was by far my favorite part of the trip, and honestly I wished I could've stayed longer. When I come back to Barcelona, I definitely will be staying here again.

Great stay at H1, great vibes there, nice and clean and the hospitality was amazing, shout out to Chung and all the other staff there, I’ll be back!

This has been the most amazing hostel I've every stayed in. The community has been just too awesome, there are lot's of volunteers and the hostel has various activities planned every day. Also there's a free Dinner every night and after that you usually go to the Bar and the Club with the Hostel. I've met so many great people here and I'm so glad I chose it for my vacation. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone!:)

I've been to over 30 hostels all around the world and this has been one of my favorites, best true hostel experience you could hope for.

A great hostel starts and ends with the staff and volunteers, and these guys were the absolute best. They introduce themselves and you to every guest that's around, and remember your name. They truly care that you have a great experience and you most certainly will by staying here.

Facilities are in good condition, beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean, kitchen functional and very clean and organized.
Everyone was super friendly and I made great friends while there.

Great location and easy to walk to plenty of must see sites, restaurants, bars, shopping, groceries, and public transportation.

They book up fast and there's a reason why, it's a great hostel.

Excelente trato con mucha interacción entre los huéspedes con múltiples actividades sociales donde todos comparten experiencias y sobre todo es ideal para practicar idiomas lo recomiendo todo está muy limpio las camas están muy bien los aseos siempre limpios y lo que más me ha gustado es la opción de entrar en un grupo de WhatsApp donde puedes realizar salidas cenas ocio cultura con los huéspedes he quedado alucinado

Unfortunately the staff were unable to assist or help with moving any travel dates (despite multiple openings on other dates). Please be cautious with booking here unless you are absolutely sure nothing could delay or get in the way. We had been promised free cancellation. Truly unfortunate and quite unpleasant. Will not be booking here again and would not recommend.

THE BEST hostel experience I’ve ever had. Be warned, if you’re not open to new experiences or is an introvert, you won’t fully enjoy the staff & fellow residents at their full potential!

The dorms are built-in, which means you’ll have a lot more privacy than the usual hostel bunk beds. The restrooms are communal but clean.

There are free tours provided by the staff & volunteers everyday here. They also provide social events at night with other nearby hostel staff+residents.

Every night the volunteers serve a FREE family-sized vegetarian meal; I had Eggplant stew (Grecian dish) & Shakshoka (North Afrikan/Tunisian dish) on the 2 nights I was here for.

I met some friends that I ended up wanting to stay connected with after I got back to America.

Supposedly ALL Hostel Ones are like this. This was my 1st time booking with them & I will do it again!

Absolutely wonderful for solo travelers. I met at least a dozen people by the second day and we all hung out daily. Establishment was spotless, great location, huge kitchen and staff were so nice and involved. Hats off the Jasmin, she helped us get situated and involved with the rest of the travelers.

Hostel in a perfect location, close to the rambla, room and bathroom clean, a rooftop is good and the staff offer you every day different think do to in the City

Best place to stay in Barcelona. People are very social and polite, this place really attracts the nicest people. The staff is not only helpful but also very committed in making your stay a good experience. A lot of events are arranged together with the other hostels og the same company. 10/10 would recommend. Same goes for the Paralelo one.

Best hostel experience ever! Super easy to meet people, all very nice and open minded and a perfect mix of all nationalities. Help you out with whatever, big living room area, kitchen, free towels and padlock for rent. For real everything you need! Staff also super nice. Sleeping rooms very quiet and good curtains for privacy. Bathrooms very clean and new. Hostel is very close to center ~5min walk to las Ramblas and ~25min walk to the beach.
Recommend 100% couldn’t have been any better.

This could be a good hostel, but it won't be comfortable until they take a few changes that I'm afraid they won't make.

The biggest issue is a combination of a TV set in the only common area, and young Argentinian people managing the hostel. I've seen this before in other hostels in Barcelona where there's a lot of Argentinians (they are great people, but in my opinion their cultural habits are not good for hostels).

When I was there the Argentinians took over the whole common area by playing a soccer game at the max volume of the TV. This will continue to happen as long as there's both the TV set and Argentinians.

A TV is only a good thing in a hostel if there's other chill-common-areas for guests. Otherwise the common area gets monopolized by whoever has the remote control. Nowadays it's unnecessary since we all have phones and tablets to watch moves etc without bothering others.

They forget that a hostel is a shared space. The TV set impedes or limits the spirit of the hostels, which is to socialize. They should get rid of it. Also those young Argentinian guys tend to make the hostel their home, cooking, etc in a way that doesn't prioritize the guests.

Other smaller issues are:

The only countertop of the kitchen should be clear of stuff. It's very small and full of food of the staff.

There in only one bathroom (one shower and one toilet) upstairs for around 15 people.

Other than that this could be a good hostel. Location is great, the facilities are modern and well maintained, and it's relatively clean.

Amazing stay with you for the past few days! The staff was amazing and the facility was the cleanest I have seen in Europe so far! German helped us check in and out, provided us a map of the city, answered all of our questions and was a great help. He also took time to hang out with us, get to know us and made us feel so welcome. Thanks for making our trip so awesome. I will definitely be staying with hostle one again:)
