Hostel One Ramblas, Barcelona

Beware of scammers! Don't book! Do not pay a deposit!
We booked for a school class and had to cancel 10 weeks in advance due to Corona. According to the contract, you can cancel free of charge up to 4 weeks in advance. We do not get our deposit back (over 600 EUR). The hostel just doesn't answer anymore.

Wir haben für eine Schulklasse gebucht und mussten aufgrund Corona 10 Wochen vorher stornieren. Laut Vertrag kann man kostenlos bis 4 Wochen vorher stornieren. Wir bekommen unsere Anzahlung (über 600. - EUR) nicht zurück. Das Hostel antwortet einfach nicht mehr.

Super friendly staff!

although one night I had to sleep in a officially 8 bed dorm, which turned out to be a 16 bed dorm.during covid to me an unacceptable behaviour.

Tengan cuidado ya que realicé mi rwserva com canceñacio gratuita.me cobraron una noche.yo canceme el viaje por el.covid y no quieren reintegrame el.dinero!

The workers are depressed and they will find away to put it on you.the reason is because they don’t get paid, and they work as volunteers. Just a way for the owner to save some cash. Showers were cold, water flow was too week.
Wifi sometime works sometimes not.
The whole place is noisy because of the staff making games in the middle of the night.
It’s very normal for the staff to just leave your door open, and wake you up with noise.
And apparently because of that same reason people i knew got rubbed in that place.
Breakfast was: raw eggs, milk, tea, bread.
Doesn’t worth 3.50 euro that’s for sure.
Dinner is “free” only it’s made by travelers whom will make you feel uncomfortable for eating free, by asking money from you.
And that’s my experience, wish no one Goes through this.

I was sick and needed to sleep while I was here and the bunks were perfect, private and quiet at all times. Plus, when I was feeling better the hostel had lots of fun tours/activities. Great community vibe, met lots of fun folks!

Hostel One Ramblas è un ostello estremamente accogliente e con un ottima posizione: metropolitana, la Rambla e porto a pochi metri. L'accoglienza e la simpatia delle persone che gestiscono l'ostello è la cosa che spicca di più all'occhio, ci si sente come in una grande famiglia, fra giochi da tavolo e uscite in comitiva sia il giorno che di notte.
Una volta tornato a casa questo posto mi mancherà parecchio, ne sono sicuro.

This place really knows how to incorporate all its guests. It’s incredibly warm and welcoming and all staff and guests are all amazing. They host free tours, a meal and drinks games every night before heading out, allowing people to get even more familiar with each other from places ALL over the world. Fantastic hostel experience and will definitely be back here if I head to Barcelona again, without a doubt. Thanks Hostel One

Lamentablemente solo pude quedarme una noche. El ambiente es muy amigable, las camas son cómodas y practicas, todo bien limpio y ordenado. Las salidas a la noche muy divertidas pero el premio se lo lleva el staff. Hacen que la estadía sea excelente.

Great hostel and staff. I was travelling solo and this was a great way to not feel so alone the entire time. The staff are great and go above and beyond to give suggestions of local sites, make sure you feel welcome and are having a good time. The nightly vegetarian dinners are really lovely and really help to bring everyone together to connect. My only complaint is lack of hot or warm water and the pillows. Make sure you shower early. I waited until the end of the day and it was chilly. Other than that, the location is great, other guests seemed to respect noise levels and it really felt like a community vibe. Huge shout out to Beth and Becca, but all the staff and volunteers are amazing!

A very fun hostel to stay at. Great location and the staff are all very friendly and cool. The free dinners and nightly group outings make it really easy to get to know everyone. Really enjoyed my time here and can’t wait to go back!

Probably the best Hostel I've stayed at!
Very nice sleeping pods with curtains and each pod had a shelf, an outlet and a light inside. Very clean. Lovely staff. Doing day and night activities every day and a free "family dinner" every evening.
Becca and Angel in the staff where absolutely lovely! Very nice hostel to meet people especially if you're travelling solo as i was and i liked the chilled out atmosphere!

Fue una excelente experiencia habernos quedado en este hostal, la atención de cada uno de sus empleados y voluntarios es magnífica, actividades tan simples como una cena logra integrar a todos los huéspedes de una manera maravillosa, el aseo estuvo muy bien y las habitaciones muy cómodas. Gracias!

Everything was perfect! The people, the rooms, the facilities! We had an amazing time there! I would definitely recommend it to you! We meet so many and wonderful personalities! I will book it again!

Great place atmosphere and staff! Only stayed there for a night but this was my fourth stay at an hostel one and it was as good as all the others. Definitely recommend

I’ve stayed in A LOT of hostels, and I must say this on may be hands down the greatest experience. From the moment I walked in, Angel, the GM, welcomed me with open arms. Now the rest of the staff is also amazing! They treat you like they’ve known you forever. You’ll go here and feel as if thou you made a family.

It’s great for solo travelers (I am a solo traveler) because they have a free family dinner and everyone sits together and talks.

I feel as if this hostel is a perfect combination of chill and relaxed but also, totally down to party.

Now let’s talk about the cleanliness. Every morning when I woke up there was a small Spanish lady scrubbing the bathrooms and mopping the floors.

I usually shower in flip flops and walk around hostels with shoes. But the cleanliness and homelike atmosphere had me walking around barefoot and in pajamas!

I promise you will not regret this. I’m convinced I’ve made some life long friends and memories just from this hostel alone.
