My dad and I took a wonderful cooking course with Mariángeles, and enjoyed every minute! We learned a lot and got to eat incredible local food. Thank you for an amazing experience!

We loved the whole experience with Just Royal BCN. The tour of the amazing market gave you more that you would have gotten just walking through it yourself. The food we made at the class was incredible and it was so great to have all of the recipes waiting in your inbox when you returned home. I've made the paella twice since being home and its wonderful! Great time and highly recommended.

Myself and my wife took a cooking class with Just Royal in October, and it was amazing. It was really great to walk through the market before the class and learn everything about how the food and ingredients are hand picked every day. And the class itself was fantastic. Not only did we learn how to cook each dish, but we also learned about history of the dish, the importance of the ingredients, and what those dishes meant to the Spanish people. It was all around an awesome experience, and we would recommend this to everyone who is interested.

My Australian friend booked this. I love food and am a good cook. This session was with Mariangela who runs them in a beautiful apartment in the centre. We were 10 - each with our cooking mats around a large kitchen bench. Mariangela showed us how to cook real paella and crema catalana. It was quite involved but the result was delicious. We then all ate on the lovely dinner table. We were a mix of older retired Americans and younger couples and friends. Mariangela is a lovely person and great cook.

My daughters and I really enjoyed this class. We especially loved visiting the market beforehand and seeing all of the beautiful food. Our instructor was very friendly and helpful, and it was nice to escape the big crowds in Barcelona and learn how to make some traditional Spanish dishes.

This was our favorite thing out of the whole trip! The instructor was great! Food was delicious and simple to make. It was educational and fun and we left full:)

Amazing experience. We were part of a small group and were entertained by fun, food, and wine. It was one of the best parts of our trip to Barcelona. Their care and love of food, people and cooking made this a perfect afternoon. Best of all they shared the recipes with us at the end of the class!

Took an afternoon class this summer with my 15 yr old niece. It was wonderful. Good wine, delicious food, colorful company, and a valuable education in Spanish cuisine. I would highly recommend it!

We had the BEST time! My 17 year old daughter and I took the class and had a blast. The food was great, they kept my wine glass full and we met several fellow travelers that we still communicate with, and I expect will see again. The location is a bit tricky, so be sure to get clear directions. Overall I HIGHLY recommend.

Mariángeles Frades was my chef for the day. She is very friendly and patient, making for a comfortable cooking experience. We were a group of 6 which made it very personal and interactive in the preparation and cooking of all food. A great thing is that you get to sample different small plates from the regions of Spain, which includes information about each region. The location of the property is very well located and easy to find. Of course the food that you prepare is crazy delicious and might possibly be the best dinner or lunch you eat in Barcelona as a tourist, seriously!

This cooking experience was one of the highlights of our trip to Barcelona. Our instructor was knowledgeable and patient, and she made the class fun and accessible for my husband and I, as well as for our 9 and 10 year old children. We all loved it.

Wonderful cooking class! The tour of the market was super fun and I learned things about ham I never knew before! Then we came back to the space to eat the prepared tapas and drink wine and COOK! And you do! You learn how to make four or so dishes. It was super fun and the space is just gorgeous! The chefs helping us were very friendly and very helpful. Received recipes for the food via email after so I could make dinner for my in-laws.it was an all around wonderful experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

This was one of the best experiences we had in Barcelona. Cooking, laughing, shopping in the market. Highly recommend doing this and we had the best instructor, Mariangles, who had such a great sense of humor, made us feel so relaxed, not rushed and it’s soemyou will never regret doing.so go on, book it

The experience was fantastic, Mariángeles Frades & her sidekick were amazing - she is an experienced chef and gave us a great insight into Spanish cooking and culture! It was a step by step class! The market tour was interesting and fun! Great wine and food! Left full and made new friends! As well as receips! Highly recommend! Tip the staircase to the cooking class floor can be a bit creepy but once upstairs all good - travelling alone you are a little more cautious! On a whole highly recommend!

This was one of the BEST things we did in Barcelona! We started with a tour of the market with our chef, Janelle and went back to an apartment/cooking area to begin our lesson. Janelle began with an appetizer from each region in Spain. This was an excellent introduction to our overall tour from Barcelona to Lisbon. We then began to make a fabulous frittata and enjoyed different wines from Spain during our experience. The final product was a delicious seafood paella and a Catalan cream brûlée for dessert. Janelle was an excellent teacher and accommodated any food allergies in the group. After the class, we were sent recipes from the day. This is a MUST do when in Barcelona!
