The Barcelona EDITION

Me alojé en The Edition durante 7 días hace aproximadamente una semana y media. En mis dos meses de viaje me quedé principalmente en Marriott. No puedo expresar suficiente gratitud al personal. En particular Nelson. El conserje que usaba anteojos pero olvidó su nombre también fue superior, nos consiguió restaurantes, paseos y recomendaciones todo el tiempo en los suburbios. El hotel estaba tranquilo. Techo genial siempre un asiento y gran Chardonnay. Nelson siempre ahí, siempre en todas partes, asegurándose de que todos los clientes estuvieran contentos. Los refrigerios en la sala representaron la cultura y la pasión del personal. Me comí el bau bun en el techo y reservé la habitación. Sin quejas.felicidades equipo

Nos alojamos en el Edition durante una semana en agosto y nos encantó el hotel y su ambiente. El personal te hace sentir bienvenido desde el momento en que entras por la puerta. El conserje hizo todas nuestras reservas, que fueron excelentes. La zona en la que se encuentra el hotel es genial. La piscina es pequeña pero tiene unas vistas increíbles. Nuestro único deseo era que hubiera un menú completo disponible para el servicio de habitaciones durante la mitad de la noche. Lo único que comieron fue un sándwich.

Mi esposo y yo somos miembros de élite de titanio de Marriott (soy asesor de viajes) y somos huéspedes frecuentes de los hoteles Edition y Ritz Carlton en los Estados Unidos y en todo el mundo. Según nuestras experiencias, este hotel tiene muchas deficiencias y no debería ser clasificado como un cinco estrellas. Es un 3 estrellas en el mejor de los casos.
Si bien el personal fue cálido y acogedor, hubo muchos defectos en nuestra estadía que no cumplieron con nuestras expectativas.
- Mi esposo organizó con anticipación la decoración del cava/habitación debido a la celebración de nuestro aniversario, sin embargo, el personal ni siquiera mencionó ni reconoció nada en el check-in y tuvo que bajar al mostrador para pedir que se completara esto. Entregaron esa tarde.
-Las camas son HORRIBLES. Colchones, almohadas y edredones de baja calidad. Definitivamente no es la calidad de 5 estrellas a la que estamos acostumbrados.
-las habitaciones son PEQUEÑAS. Aparentemente recibimos una mejora con una ventana más grande, sin embargo, no puedo olvidar el tamaño pequeño de la habitación.
-El aire acondicionado nunca enfriaba por debajo de 73, incluso cuando estaba configurado en 69. No pude dormir bien la primera noche y hacía mucho calor. Solicité un ventilador la segunda noche que ayudó.
-¡El servicio en la azotea es HORRIBLE! La calidad de la bebida también es deficiente y aguada. Tuve que devolver mi martini espresso 3 veces antes de que se preparara correctamente. No hay cubos grandes disponibles para bourbon o okd fashioned. Tomó más de 20 minutos para cada bebida. Planeábamos pasar una buena cantidad de tiempo en la azotea, sin embargo, la primera experiencia nos arruinó.
-Solicité el check-in temprano y aún así tuve que esperar una hora al llegar después del vuelo de un horno. No sienta bien cuando alertamos al hotel antes de nuestra hora de llegada y, como miembro de titanio, debería tener prioridad.
-Solicité salida tardía 3 veces diferentes y alerté a 2 miembros del equipo; sin embargo, todavía llamaron la mañana para preguntar por nuestra hora de salida y desactivaron las llaves de nuestra habitación temprano.

En general, hay hoteles MUCHO mejores en la zona por su relación calidad-precio. Como asesor de viajes, recomiendo:
-Yurbban Passage o Traflagar (¡las camas son mucho más cómodas!)
-Mandarian Oriental
-Hotel de las Artes
-Serras
Nunca volveré a este hotel ni lo recomendaré a mis clientes.

¡Tomé un cóctel en la azotea con un amigo! Increíble vista de Barcelona, ​​personal atento y decoración increíble, lo recomiendo.

Nice views from the rooftop and good cocktails, it is nice to be able to go there even if you are not staying in the hotel.

Amazing service & great hospitality by all the team. Especially Ahmed who has always gone out of his way to ensure that all my family is feeling comfortable and are enjoying their time. I highly recommend this hotle for a nice relaxing vacation with the family.

Overall, the hotel is okay. Very dark interior with small social spaces.

The rooms are small, with small windows, but generally well furnished.

The mini bar is very expensive with even water not included. & the free water in the lobby has a very strong chlorine smell (unfiltered tap water?)

Breakfast was okay but menu prices are very high for quite average food. Undercooked eggs Benedict and overcooked sausages. We were not told how many dishes were included in the room rate until AFTER ordering. Poor practice. Also not good for business travellers- service is slow and there's nothing you can grab and go quickly with.

Immediately outside the hotel there are smelly rubbish bins.

Couldn't use the Punch Room pool table out of hours so they could complete a photo shoot.there are basically no private spaces for guests! Everywhere is accessible to the public.

Prior to this, we stayed at the Sheraton (Av. Diagonal) and had a much better experience. Rooms were bigger, better views, inclusive breakfast, attentive and friendly staff, bright spaces, free bottled water! Would recommend.

It is a very pretty hotel in a fairly central area of Barcelona. The service was amazing, and the late night bars and lounges were a treat.

The rooms were gorgeous as I expect with EDITION hotels, but pretty small and cramped (being there with two suitcases felt tight).

As others have mentioned, this area is a bit odd. The surrounding Gothic Quarter / El Born area has a lot to do, but is infested with crime. We were approached by multiple pickpocket-type individuals in the area and had to intimidate them off. To get to other areas like Eixample (Gaudi museum, lots of shopping) or the Beach, we had to get a car, and there is no nearby taxi-stand to the hotel.

I would probably stay at the W on the Beach or a hotel in the Eixample area next visit.

In two words - the best! The view, friendly staff, cocktails and food - this bar has it all! We found it spontaniousley and decided to give it a try - so far this one has been our favourite roof top bar in entire Barcelona! Snack food tastes as if we were in 5 star restaurant and the vibe the bar has is easy going, chill and not overcrowded. Can’t wait to be back!

The views are increible, cozy place, ideal to go with friends. The menu is a bit limited IMO

Very small rooms, unable to open any windows or even reasonable view. Bathrooms are extremely small with almost no room for most basic items to have on counter. Hardly any drawers or closet space. Instead of bidet they connected an old rusty hose which had small leak and no water pressure. You have to live out of your suitcase if you can find a place in the room to put them. We had only carry ons and only two people. All hallways are dark and depressing. Felt as we were in a dark night club instead of hotel hallway. Staff are nice and professional, but the managements need to be retrained for better customer service.

Outstanding service, they really cater to you here. Rooms are wonderful, and the softest pillows I’ve ever had in a hotel.

This is an amazing hotel with modern rooms and upscale amenities. The service is excellent and consistent. They are very attentive and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is careful attention to details and this hotel offers everything you want in a nice hotel. I stay at the Edition hotels wherever I can. The rooms are contemporary with all of the creature comforts. Edition always provides a five star experience.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of the gothic quarter. Very friendly service. I got a studio terrace which I used daily. The only negative about this room, which was on the 9th floor is that right about is the rooftop bar and pool and I heard a lot of noise right above me. If you’re sensitive to noise, make sure you ask them for a quite room.

Overall the room was great. Very cold, which is what I like for sleeping. I loved the bed, pillows, and the shower was great. I used the mini bar fridge often.

The breakfast was also very good. Overall a great hotel!

Stayed at Barcelona Edition and had an amazing time. From the space and condition of the rooms to the service from the entire team, we will be returning again! The amenities are great, the rooftop bar and pool provides a great vantage point and the atmosphere had that true Spanish flair! The team went above and beyond with our lost bags from our previous flight. If you’re visiting Barcelona, stay at the Edition.

We had a great 3 night stay at the edition Barcelona on the first stop of our Europe trip. The hotel was beautiful and in a great location. Our room was small and although being an ambassador with Bonvoy we did not get upgraded as we were told the hotel was full.

Anoche tuvimos un evento de empresa en el citado hotel. El primer problema fue que pactamos un horario en la terraza y como la compartíamos con otro grupo, a última hora nos cambiaron el horario restringiéndolo de lo que habíamos pactado. Aunque luego, el otro grupo canceló por covid y ahí estuvieron super amables para que nos quedáramos y consumiéramos. Segundo, el menú que costó 50€ persona era una misería y no exagero, la calidad era buena pero super escaso y las porciones ridículas. Yo comí 4 minitapas y un postre. Pasamos bastante hambre. El tema bebidas estaba correcto y el personal que nos atendía en terraza, super amables. El tercer problema era que al estar en la terraza y con el calor de estos días de ola de calor, estábamos en una sala con unas mamparas de vidrio, abiertas por uno de los costados, sin aire acondicionado, y se generaba un calor terrible como si estuviéramos en un invernadero. Pedimos ventiladores y nos dijeron que no tenían, en un hotel! No tenían ni un mísero ventilador. Finalmente logramos que nos abrieran las puertas acristaladas para que corriera un poco de aire, o sea que el tema climatización, nulo. Esta fue nuestra experiencia. Al final tratando así a los clientes, ellos pierden porque nosotros desde luego no volveremos y tampoco lo vamos a recomendar a nadie. Resumen, unos peseteros miserables! Lo único maravilloso eran las vistas a la ciudad.

Excelente vista, pero cómo empezar. Cambiar bartender, tuvimos que traernos la carta nosotros mismos. Bloody Mary aguado sin picante, otro cocktail que no tenía reparación y ostras a temperatura ambiente. Pero así las servimos, me dicen.
Para enfermarte. Lástima por la vista.

Con reserva de días antes me cambian el horario horas antes, 50€ para comer el menú y me ofrecieron 2 pinchos (y sabor más o menos), una amiga mía le ofrecieron SOLO UNO que era super simples y lo haría yo en casa mejor,
Además del servicio MUY irrespetuoso del camarero en la terraza cuando pide permiso (estaría borracho el camarero?)

Estábamos con 20 colegas y paso el mismo con todos, impresionantemente asqueroso
