Hotel Atlántico, Madrid

Me alojé por 6 noches en julio caluroso.
Al principio dudaba un poco en quedarme aquí, ya que era mi primera vez en Madrid. Pensé que sería ruidoso, lleno de gente y caliente.

Me equivoqué. El Hotel Atlántico es un gran y maravilloso hotel en el que alojarse si desea estar en el centro de todo. Mi habitación fue mejorada y era muy tranquila, muy espaciosa y súper limpia y cómoda, y el aire acondicionado frío me mantuvo cómodo todos esos días y noches calurosos de julio. Realmente no hay un bar (hay uno en la azotea pero no había nadie trabajando allí las dos veces que subí allí por la noche) o un restaurante (tienen un excelente buffet de desayuno a un precio excelente). Si buscas un tipo de hotel que no sea de fiesta, que sea tranquilo y cómodo, el Hotel Atlántico es para ti.

Muchos lugares excelentes para comer, comprar y explorar justo afuera de la entrada principal.

Tenía una linda habitación con una gran cama, la terraza de la azotea era maravillosa para descansar después de un día ajetreado en Madrid. El personal es muy amable, la ubicación en plena Gran Vía era ideal para mí

What a wonderful hotel. Centrally located and a friendly and helpful staff. Impeccably clean rooms and beautiful decor. The breakfast was just right. A rooftop lounge and bar to cap off your day.

The hotel is exceptional, the location cannot be beat and the staff is exemplary in all ways.

I went here for a Christmas vacation. The room is huge and has amazing amenities. It is also clean and quiet so we can sleep very well.

The best point about the hotel has to be the location, it is in Gran Via near the Callao metro station which is basically the center hub for all things you want to see in Madrid. It is a 2 minutes walk to the best restaurants in town, a shopping street, and only 10 minutes walk to the art triangle (Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza, Reina Sofia). So we enjoyed very much our stay here.

I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're visiting Madrid. And thank you for the staff, it was such as pleasure.

I normally don't write bad reviews about hotels. But the front office staff at the Hotel Atlántico was so horrible and unprofessional, I wanted to write this one. This is infact my first bad reviews of a hotel.
We stayed at the Atlántico in Madrid from 05/28/2022 to 06/04/2022. In the morning of the fourth day of our stay, I went down to the reception desk and asked the guy there if he could change a 20 euro note to two euro coins. He completely ignored my request and proceeded to count 5 euro notes to give me so I repeated my request. He then rudely interrupted me and told me that he heard me. When he finally handed me the five euro notes, I told him that I asked for coins. At this point he completely lost it and started yelling at me saying that they don't have coins that early in the morning. I totally understand it if they didn't have coins and would have left if he just explained that in a polite and professional way. But what's unacceptable is a receptionist at a hotel shouting at a guest like that over a very simple and polite request.
Later that day, I made a complaint to the management about this guy's behavior in writing. The management responded back with just an excuse saying that it's not possible to change money so early in the morning but no apology or even an acknowledgement of their receptionist yelling at a guest. A simple apology from the management would have easily remedied the situation but it appears that even the management of Hotel Atlántico Madrid couldn't care less about how their receptionists treat the guests.
Madrid is a great place with so many great hotels to stay but Atlántico is NOT one of them. I would never choose Atlántico again and would not recommend it to anybody!

Excellent hotel in a perfect location. All the staff are really superb. Second time staying here and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Totally recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful pointing us in the right direction for food, shopping and to the train station. The rooftop lounge area was very relaxing with fun views of the crowds below. This hotel is the perfect location to walk around and enjoy a full day outside. Would definitely stay here again!

Great place. I just finished my stay and highly recommended. Spacious room. Staff gave me power adapter, water, and helped me find my way around. The bar on the roof is not busy but the view is nice and the bartender is so nice. Great sangria! When i come back to madrid, ill come here!

A great place to stay with a central location. Easy to walk to the main tourist attractions from the hotel. Breakfast is optional but chargeable, however the food and service was excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Loved it.

The most outstanding hotel in Madrid that is not ridiculously expensive, wonderful staff, beautifully decorated, great patios, clean and great bedding/pillows, in the heart of downtown. My absolute go-to hotel in Madrid!

I would give this hotel a five star for it’s fabulous bed rooms and location. The breakfast is nothing special but acceptable. The roof top bar is lovely except they serve no cocktails or nice tapas only snacks and it never seems well resourced. But the big complaint is the lift which has doors that close too quickly and are very violent. Both I and my wife were caught by them and suffered bruises on our hands and arms. I would still come back again. Recommend.
