Meliá Madrid Serrano

My flight got cancelled last minute and this hotel was the perfect place to stay. The pool is beautiful, the bar is so much fun, and the staff is attentive. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a brief break.

Terrible experience, I’ve stayed at the hotel during winter and it was a good experience.

Today, I am staying at the hotel and the AC is not On, my wife is pregnant and we cant sleep at all because of the heat, the lobby is colder than the room.

Not recommended at all.

Que mal, sin calor en las habitaciones nos han tenido que poner un radiador por el frío que hace en la habitación, es un Melia? La cortina de la ventana está descolgada y entra la claridad de las luces de la calle, bajo a la cafetería para ver el fútbol y tienen una tele solo para una mesa y como no se puede estar en la barra del bar que está junto al televisor te tienes que dar paseos para que no te llamen la atención por el tema COVID, por 124€ la noche se podían esmerar en el mantenimiento y no decir cómo me dijeron en recepción que habían cortado tanto el aire acondicionado frío como el calor por quejas de los clientes, no lo entiendo, el personal muy amable y profesional, el resto a mejorar, lo siento un 0=un cero

No pongo la última estrella por la atención de una chica camarera que fue fatal. Por lo demás 5 estrellas.

Sin dudas vale lo que cuesta muy buen trato, muy buena comida muy buenos servicios y como era mi caso que tenia que hacer tramites en la embajada era ideal para descansar.

El hotel es cómodo y el personal amable. La situación para ir por el barrio de Salamanca andando es muy buena

Overall the staff were very friendly and ready to help. Hygiene was especially kept very well. Breakfast buffet was very nice!

Hotel con la calidad habitual de la cadena Meliá. Recién reformado, la situación es excelente, en el Barrio de Salamanca junto a la calle Serrano y la embajada de Estados Unidos. Todo muy nuevo y limpio. Por la poca ocupación debida al COVID nos hicieron un doble upgrade.

Trato exquisito! Bien situado! Todo impecable. Muy Tranquilo. Bufet desayuno espectacular! Instalaciones acordé a su categoría.

I’ve just spent six miserable days at the hotel and I’m exhausted through lack of sleep.

When I checked in and went to my first room it stunk of stale tobacco and was quite unpleasant.

I returned to reception and was met by utter contempt and begrudgingly the rather frosty lady offered me another room after trying to sell me an upgrade.

This room (432) was akin to a prison cell with no natural light and a rather dirty bathroom.

Despite returning to the reception, it was clear that the Meliá Madrid Serrano didn’t care and we were stuck.

My wife arrived on a later flight and we tried to get a table in the restaurant and despite it being empty, we were offered a rather uncomfortable, low table, so we elected to eat in the bar. The food was okay but not great.

Breakfast was the hotel’s saving grace but I will definitely never return to this hotel again and never use a Meliá brand.

The beds were harder than the floor, the room temperature had two settings: off and ‘hotter than the sun’, when the person in the room above used the bathroom it was like being in the same room, but the staggering disregard of the hotel management and front desk staff spoke volumes - this hotel does not care.

The Meliá Madrid Serrano aspires to be a quality hotel - but it’s not.

Excelente estancia en uno de los hoteles más emblemáticos de Madrid y mejor situados, cerca de zona de tiendas y el Museo Sorolla, que nos encantó. Habitación amplia, luminosa, insonorizada y extraordinariamente limpia; recién reformada. Cama king size muy cómoda y con seis almohadas ultraconfortables. La habitación contaba con todos los amenities disponibles y con pequeños detalles que nos hicieron la estancia más cómoda y agradable si cabe. Zonas comunes con una decoración contemporánea exquisita, al igual que el desayuno buffet, digno de los sitios más de moda para desayunar en Madrid: bueno, variado, abundante y con muy buen ambiente. Wifi con buen funcionamiento y buena velocidad en todo el edificio. ¡Especial atención al departamento de recepción que nos hizo sentir durante todo el tiempo como en casa! Como siempre la gente de Meliá haciendo lo que mejor saben. Enhorabuena a todo el equipo de este fantástico hotel. ¡Volveremos!

Como siempre un auténtico placer. Perfecto para familias. Gran personal, habitaciones limpias y grandes. Desayuno insuperable.

The location is very good, the lobby and restaurant are nicely decorated and the facade is currently undergoing some renovations. Breakfast was included which was quite good. The staff was polite and efficient. But the room was another story. The first one they gave us was a dungeon. It was very small, dark and stuffy. The only window it had faced the service stairs shaft and it had metal bars accros like in a jail cell. We requested a new room and were given one the following day. This time it faced the street and was bigger. It was also clean. All in all our experience was ok. However, the nicely redecorated lobby and the breakfast do not justify the very high nightly rates. Also, if you don't like noisy environments, take into account that this hotel caters to families with young children. When we stayed there, it was the "Pilar" long weekend and there were many children playing and running around the lobby and the restaurant. Some of them were coughing on the breakfast food as well.

Muy lindo todo pero lamentablemente justo los días que estuvimos allí, estaban en obras y los ruidos de martillos, máquinas y todo lo que lleva una obra, eran insoportables. Deberían haber avisado así uno puede decidir si alojarse allí ó no. La hora de la siesta era el peor momento. Ofrecieron mudar de habitación pero era mucho lío, es obvio que deberían haberlo hecho de entrada.

Es un hotel muy bien situado y recién reformado. Tiene una decoración muy elegante y moderna a la vez de ser acogedora. Las habitaciones tienen buen tamaño, además de ser tranquilas y muy cómoda. El desayuno está delicioso y hay bastante variedad. La gente es muy amable, servicial y simpática. En general, hemos disfrutado mucho de nuestra estancia en Madrid y volveremos seguro!

Luxurious, great accomodations. Great service. Close to many of the principal attractions in the city.

I have stayed at a few Melia hotels and despite this one being in the capital and business orientated, found the staff helpful and appreciative of my faltering Spanish. The public areas are spacious and get good service from the bar for drinks/snacks. It's easy to either walk into town or get the bus from just around the corner.
