Vincci Capitol Hotel, Madrid

Ni recomendable, tenéis cuidado si vais que allí os pide fianza y después por cualquier cosa de nada que dejáis en la habitación se la quedan! A mi me multaron por fumar en la terraza y por tener mala costumbre de guardar las colillas en el paquete y llevármelo a la habitación! 200 mas iva! No vale la pena visitar este hotel! Ay muchos más baratos bonitos y tolerables …además de prohibir subir bebidas a la habitación y en recepción te cobran 3 e por 250 ml de agua! Pura estafa! No vayáis!

Hotel totalmente recomendable. Muy buen situado, con buen servicio y con la calidad que siempre ofrecen la cadena Vincci.

El mejor hotel en el que he estado en Madrid a nivel de calidad - precio. Me tocó una habitación con vistas a la gran via desde arriba del todo en el edificio Shweppes. La habitación inmejorable, cama cómoda, baño grande. La ubicación es fantástica, el trato inmejorable y el buffet una pasada de la gran variedad que hay y su calidad. Se merece las 5 estrellas!

I'm really not sure where their 4 stars come from. Few pluses: This hotel is very nicely located. Rooms look modern and are equipped with air conditioning. There is quite nice terrace located on 7th floor. Their staff is very friendly. And that's all.

There is no gym nor swimming pool nor sauna available (only one A4 sheet of what they call "in-room gym" instructing you to do push-ups or burpies in your room - really pathetic). In-room mini bar is empty - suprising but there is empty fridge running in every room - very eco friendly. In addition I was informed that due to covid restrictions I can't consume anything taken from outside in my room - tbh I was in shock. Not sure how drinking mineral water bought in shop could influence covid infections number in the hotel. No coffee, no tea available neither.
What's really strange they also control everyone coming to the hotel, every day at all time. It is very annoying being asked almost every time for room number and name. I think even doorman was confused and ashamed that he has to do it.
Thay also introduced very modern solution which should allow you to open your room via app, without need of having magnetic key. Unfortunately it doesn't work most of the time, plus you have no card to put in electricity master switch and you have to use your ID card or other.
I believe there are many better real 4 star options in Madrid so if you don't have to, stay away from this place.

Buen lugar de descanso y en el centro de la ciudad todo muy limpio y buena atención, vale la pena ir al bar de la 7a.planta, vistas muy bonitas.

Hotel estupendamente ubicado en plena Gran Vía. Habitaciones espaciosas, muy muy limpias, y muy agradables. El personal encantador, te resuelven con solvencia cualquier problema que tengas. La terraza y la azotea con el bar son dignos de visitar. Recomendable al 100%.

Me ha encantado mi habitación con terraza. A pesar de hacer un calor infernal en Madrid nos hemos hospedado muy a gusto.

We chose Vincci Capitol for our accommodation during our small city break in our home city. The plan was to use the room service to have breakfast on our terrace and cocktails later in the evening there or on the rooftop bar. The location of the hotel is great, right in the city center. Our room was on the 8th floor and very quiet. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, with great views from the terrace. We were not given key cards, instead, we had to download an app that opened the door (except when the app crashed). The app also contained all sorts of information, and room service was ordered through it as well.

Soon it turned out the room service was only available from 13: 30 to 15: 30 and 19: 45 to 23: 45. The menu was very limited: for drinks, it only had beer, juice, sodas, and water – not even coffee was available. My husband called the reception to ask if we could order by phone other items, such as the breakfast, for example. We were told it was not possible, and orders had to be made through the app. So, no breakfast on the terrace, no cocktails either. Cocktails were not possible on the rooftop bar either, as it was not open on Mondays and Tuesdays, the days of our stay. We ordered two beers through the app, but we never received them. We said about this when we were checking out and the receptionist tried to claim that we just didn’t know how to use the app. I had received a receipt of the order to my e-mail, though, so that was clearly not the case. She then said that “reception is open 24/7, you could have called us”. Although we were told before, that we can not order anything by calling them.

We also wanted late check-out. We were told that it is not possible to know if it is available or not, until the morning of our check out. Which kind of ruins the idea of late check out, because we had to be prepared to leave at noon if the late check out would not have been available.

As for us the main reason to choose this hotel were the services we were planning to use, our stay was not very successful. Also, the room service not working, the bar not being open, and the odd hassle with the late check-out were not anything we’d expect from a four-star hotel, and also as we had previously had a very different experience at another Vincci hotel.

Amazing hotel in Madrid.
There’s a small reception but the hotel is perfect.
The rooms are clean and so elegant.
