Avis Rent Car, Passeig de Gràcia

Got told by upgrading for a better car was the same price. Wasn’t too be. Ended up paying more than that and then got charged 7€ for picking up the car (we live in Barcelona) at the airport, which cost us 5.60€ to get there. By the way the car was 20€ a day at the beginning. We’re also an AVIS ‘preferred member’. Is this honestly how you treat your customers? Ended up paying 3x more than the original price online.

The location is a little difficult to determine as it is in the underground garage. The stairs to get to the location are not easily identified. Make sure that you have the code (provided by the Avis agent at Rambla de Catalunya, 40) to open the door from the stairs. The stairs are on the North East corner of C.del Consell de Cent and Pg.de Gràcia. The Avis folks were great, the car was clean and exactly what we reserved.

Me han cobrado 94 euros de combustible aun antes de que fuera a buscar el coche. Me había llegado al correo una confirmacion de reserva a las 09.48 de la mañana cuando yo tenía mi reserva a las 12h.
Pero esta gente que ilegalidades comete cobrando sin consentimiento? Por no hablar de que no te informan de nada, la mujer rubia mayorcita ni la politica del combustible me explicó! Se le cambió la cara nada mas decirle que no quería ningun coche de categoria superior.

You book a car, they block your money, and after that they send you an email that no cars are available. 12 days passed and the payment is still blocked.

Muy a gusto con el trato y buen vehículo, quise extender más días pero me limitaron a 13, solo eso tengo que manifestar. Gracias

The workers are shameless. Very rude and dishonest.

They scammed us by having us pay for the damages that we didn't do. They charged us $1000 for a pinpoint scratch on the car that we didn't do. Obviously we never saw that because it was super small but when returning the car, they said that they will take our deposit because of that and we couldn't prove it because we never took picture of it as it was very small when we rented the car. Stay away at all costs.

They make money by scamming you and they will keep the money to themselves. Shameless workers. I am going to file a lawsuit against their brach manager as they never showed us the car before we sign the contract.

Servicio muy lento y muy poco personal. Contratas un automóvil y tienes que esperar más de una hora de la hora contratada

Too slow Took us 45min to get a car eventhough we booked it the previous night and put in all the data they needed

Yet another hidden and shady charges car rental company. After returning it we get an invoice detailing we have been charged an extra day and also some random extra services line for €100. Rental came to be €200 over the original quote and no reply after 3 weeks, clearly their modus operandi.
AVOID, I wish I had believed the reviews beause once they have your credit card is a signed blank cheque (there is a reason they don’t accept debit cards)

Este fin de semana alquile un vehículo con un Bono regalo que me llego por email y esta mañana me han enviado la factura. La sorpresa es que no esta aplicado el Bono descuento en la factura. Ya van dos veces que se equivocan y envían facturas erróneas, Lo peor de todo no es la equivocación, es el tiempo perdido en recuperar el dinero abonado el cual ya ha sido cobrado.

Attention was good and fast because this is an especial season with COVID? We normally rent a car in AVIS, because we’re clients here. The prices are not low, but the cars are the cleanest! Muy mala primera experiencia con Avis. Me cobraron casi 500 euros al devolver el coche por una supuesta equivocación de combustible al llenar el tanque, y puedo demostrar que no es verdad.
Servicio pésimo, nadie me responde a mi reclamación, no me toman en serio y ha pasado más de un mes.

No recomiendo AVIS a nadie!

No es normal que te hagan esperar 40 minutos para atenderte. Ni en el monopolio de correos te tratan tan mal

Una verguenza de servicio. No se lo recomiendo a nadie.

Se me cargaron 414 euros a la targeta al devolver el coche, sin ningún tipo de explicación. Llevo más de 15 días intentando que alguien me lo explique pero nadie me responde. No me responden a los emails, no me aceptan la reclamación (lo he intentado ya 3 veces) y en la oficina no son capaces de ayudarme.

2 horas de retraso para entregarme el coche y cuando finalmente llegó, era uno de diferente del había pedido.
NO recomiendo esta agencia en absoluto.

Devolvi el coche por la madrugada y me recordé que había dejado un anillo dentro. Volví en la mañana seguinte, ya que no podría abrir el coche, y EL ANILLO YA NO ESTABA MÁS AHÍ. ME ROBARÁN! Alquilé en esta empresa por pensar que era de confianza. Muy feo, Avis. No alquilen en esta tienda!

Reclamación T20208172 devuélvanme mi dinero @Avis_Spain. Son una vergüenza de servicio, tengo mas de 300 euros bloqueados hace 2 meses en mi tarjeta en 2 reservas que nunca se confirmaron. Ayuda por favor.

No recomiendo. Después de varios meses de alquiler os van a robar dinero de la tarjeta con la que pagastéis - la excusa es una multa imaginaria que no adjuntan.

GO TO OTHER RENTAL CAR COMPANY IF YOU ARE TRAVELERS. We did not look out for the reviews before we chose this Avis. The line and wait were acceptable, but we were given different car from what we reserved. My friend received an upgrade to mini van, but a lot of scratches on the car. Driving out less than one hour, someone followed my friend’s car trying to flag them down on the highway warning about the flat tire. Exactly previous reviewer’s story four month ago happened to my friend. Our friend did not stop so those thieves did not get anything from my friend. However, my friend got flat tire on the highway and Avis refused to send another car. My friend got a spare tire and drove to other town where Avis location changed a new tire. The journey was ruined completely. If just within a few month, the same series of drama/ plot could happen on customers who rent cars in this specific Avis location, do you think it is still a coincidence?
