49Excellent food, excellent service, two tasting journeys to choose from. We had the wine pairing and so pleased we did as all were perfect choices. We had 14 courses in total, taking approximately 3 hours. Well worth a visit
Had dinner on the last day of my previous trip to Barcelona. Just wow. Most interesting and complex presentation and taste. Unlike very formal-kind attitudes you’d expect from staffs at Michellin star restaurants in Europe, fun fun and friendly. Not casual, but amusing. Enjoyed every second in a three-hour dining. Personally so much better experience than other 2-3 star restaurants I had been to in Paris.
I spent my birthday here a week ago and it was as perfect as I would have imagined. Perfect service, delicious menu and very good price! Thank you for an amazing dinner.
If I could give more stars, I’d give 10. We came here for lunch, I chose “extended” version for 52 euros, which included 1 appetizer, 2 mains, red and white wine, desert and coffee - plenty! Standard one is 1 appetizer, 1 main, dessert, coffee, and a choice between red or white wine - all for whooping 42 euros. The service was outstanding. Each dish was innovative and mouthwatering. It felt a lot more than just a mid-day meal. I expected to enjoy our experience given the reputation of Caelis, but I didn’t expect to be stunned by how fantastic each dish was. I wanted this experience to go on forever. I wish we could go back for dinner. One day we will. You absolutely must visit Caelis when in Barcelona.
Best. Meal. Ever.
We had the earth and sea menu and every dish was outstanding. In looks and in taste.
A small selection of starters ranging from liquid olives to potatoe waffle with tuna belly were served swiftly and took care of our initial hunger.
The highlights of the mains were without a doubt the sturgeon and the beef (swapped it with the pigeon). The Microvins Samsó red was in particular a stellar choice for the red beef.
The hand cut steak tartar and especially the mustard pearl that came with it was intriguing and very creative.
Finishing of with the deserts where you were able to choose three different cheeses from a stylish rolling table, over to celery ice and to the star of the desert; the crystal lemon.
Service was on par too. A really pleasant experience from A to Z.
UPDATE:
I went back to try their lunch menu for €42. At three courses including wine and coffee I thinks it was really good value for money. The menu changes every week but it was delicious
Great attention to the customers by part of the staff, the wine selection and all the dishes of the course were impeccable. Every single detail was meticulously cured.great chicken sauce!:)
Creative and elegant dishes, balanced flavor and nice wine. Wonderful service.
Fish is a bit cold and maybe not as tasty as I expected. The sidedish salad is more interesting than the fish itself. Is it smashed carrot/pumpkin inside? Chocolate dessert makes me as happy as a child:) Thank you all and I'll revisit with a friend!
