Le escribo para expresar mi extremo descontento con mis recientes estancias en el Hotel Intercontinental Indigo de Barcelona. Lamentablemente, ambas visitas se vieron empañadas por un problema que afectó enormemente mi comodidad y bienestar.

Durante mis estancias, encontré un problema preocupante con la ropa de cama proporcionada en mi habitación. Para mi consternación, las sábanas provocaron una picazón intensa en todo mi cuerpo y en mi hijo. Este malestar persistió constantemente durante ambas visitas, disminuyendo significativamente la calidad de mi estadía y causando inmensos inconvenientes e incomodidades.

Como huésped, esperaba una experiencia cómoda y relajante, pero la angustia causada por la ropa de cama ha dejado una impresión negativa duradera. Este inesperado malestar no sólo interrumpió mi descanso sino que también afectó mi capacidad para disfrutar plenamente de las comodidades y servicios que ofrece su estimado establecimiento.

Le insto amablemente a que aborde este asunto urgente con prontitud para garantizar que futuros huéspedes no encuentren problemas similares. Como patrocinador leal de su cadena hotelera, creo en los altos estándares de servicio y comodidad que mantiene la marca Intercontinental Indigo y espero sinceramente que se tomen medidas inmediatas para rectificar este problema.

Agradecería mucho un seguimiento sobre las medidas tomadas para abordar esta inquietud y garantizar la comodidad y bienestar de sus huéspedes en el futuro.

Mi experiencia en el hotel no fue lo buena que esperaba.
Primeramente tuvimos un problema con la reserva/pago que se quedó en un malentendido.
Luego, la habitación muy correcta, pero al estar en la planta 1 escuchábamos todo el ruido de los salones. Desde las 19: 00 horas hasta las 23: 00 no pararon de mover sillas cada 10 minutos. Luego, a las 7 volvieron los ruidos de movimientos de sillas de nuevo que no cesaron en toda la mañana.si vais a descansar, que no os pongan en la primera planta.
Luego, como anécdota, comentar que las paredes de las habitaciones son de papel de fumar. Puedes escuchar perfectamente la frecuencia al wc del resto de huéspedes que estén a tu alrededor.

TODO perfecto, personal y limpieza impecable, alojé en el hotel 3-5 de dic, reserve una habitación básica, pero por ser miembro, me dio upgrade gratis, quería darte las gracias al recepcionista Aaron, Sin duda, volveré a alojarme en un IHG hotel!

Gran buffet de desayuno e incluso tienen un espejo de aumento en el baño, ideal para personas como yo que usan anteojos para que puedan maquillarse y mi esposo se afeite.

Aparte de eso, es impresionante lo eficiente, amable y multilingüe que es el conserje.

Muy bien ubicado en el centro. Tenga en cuenta que los precios de estacionamiento en los alrededores son prohibitivos. 32,80€ por aparcar de 18: 30 a 09: 30 de la mañana siguiente. ¡Lástima que el hotel ya no ofrece paquetes como en el pasado!

Una esperincia excelente fuimos recibidos por Adrián y fue una sorpresa ver cómo se puso a disposición para solucionar todo ayudarnos con las maletas darnos la mejor habitación todo la habitación excelente amplia con terraza todo muy bueno felicitaciones

Compared to the other hotels in the same category this is very bad, you can hear water running in your room and everything neighbors doing in other rooms

Nice location the room has quite a nice space clean and cozy the breakfast was good the only thing that bothered me was the elevator it was the most slowest ride that you will ever try i could go to my room in the 4th floor using the stairs before the elevator could reach there.

He visitado esta noche el cocktail bar del hotel y ha sido una muy buena experiencia. Local muy bonito y con gusto donde cabe destacar la amabilidad de la camarera, siempre atenta y simpática con la gente que estábamos allí, La mejor, un 10!

Although there are good and bad things about this hotel, I believe people need to be aware of the challenges.

1. If you are bringing a car, you will need to find parking first. It is around the corner in the public garage. That is more than I was given from the staff who just wrote two words on a piece of paper and urged me to leave the taxi lane where I was parked. I don't blame them, but without good instruction it was messy.

2. The carpet on our floor hallway were stained every two feet. I booked this as an upscale hotel and expected that the interior matched that concept.

3. The upgraded room we got put in had missing flooring boards in the corner.

Otherwise, the place was clean and the breakfast was adequate. I was not disappointed with the hotel outside of thinking it was a 4.5 star place. It is clearly a nice 3.5-4 star hotel.

Horrible I the only word as IHG member! I checked the lady Kriss supper nice but the problem was the room that facing the street. It was so noisy I came downstairs and explained to the front desk that was replacement to kriss and she said at 12: 00 she didn’t have any more but we prepare the new rooms and web I come back she would get situated but when I came back shot change and no notes was done as Anna mentioned and she could could due anything the. She had two rooms that lower that what we paid for which smells like smoke that all she had … I paid more have plat Elite Member and got nothing. Pure crab ……. Don’t waste your money

Hotel is in a good location. The elevators are the slowest in the world. My room had a nice view of the street but the layout was a little odd. Bathroom didn't have enough light and had some mold. Bed was a bit too hard for me. Furniture was a bit worn. TV had no English language channels. Wifi was nice and fast. Staff were generally nice. Barcelona has so many hotels that I would stay somewhere else if I go back.

This is hands down the best IHG property in the city.

Right in the city center, close to any sightseeing spot.

Amazing and helpful staff, high quality daily breakfast buffet with many choices.
Booked a nice room on the top with private terrace, they have a really nice swimming pool to relax in the middle of Barcelona, solarium on the 2nd floor is a gem. We recommend it.

We’ll be back for sure!

What a shame this place has become. I have been staying here for years and when it first opened it was great. Small rooms but always well kept and they always offered an upgrade to IHG members.

What a change now! It seems all they are interested in is making money.

Firstly the dynamic pricing is crazy. Its always at least €250 when you look in advance but they always drop this to around €134 a day or so before arrival. Do not book in advance!

I was told when I checked in that I could only be upgraded to 1 category higher than I booked unless I paid extra. I said no so they said they had 'upgraded;' me only 1 category. However the room was very small and it was an interior room with a tiny window overlooking a ventilation shaft. The room was very tired, headboards peeling, bathroom in bad shape and generally felt unloved. I dread to think what I would have got had I not been 'upgraded'!

The 'free' drink for members was absolutely only a house wine. This was made very clear to me when I ordered!

They were so desperate to upsell breakfast when I checked in that they didnt listen when I said I needed my company address on my invoice. They took my business card but didnt update the records so when I checked out they could not print my invoice and instead said they would email it, which they didnt until I chased them.

The lifts are crazy slow and on one occasion one was not working. When I told the front desk it was clear they didnt care as this was not a money making opportunity.

It seems like all they are interested in is money now, and any interaction with guests is a potential for extracting more money. There are so many better options in Barcelona with much kinder staff.

I dont think I'll be rushing back and I stay in Barcelona about 8 times a year

Hotel très bien place avec un personnel très sympathique. Seul hic les chambres sont petites un peu sombre (je n étais pas cote rue) et surtout l hôtel n est pas au top de l insonorisation.
Globalement bien pas c est pas un 4 étoiles plutot un 3 étoiles.

We were scheduled to spend several nights in Barcelona at this hotel before embarking on a transatlantic cruise. Eight days before our trip I suffered a retinal detachment and had to have immediate surgery the next day. Because of this surgery, I am unable to travel, first because I can't fly, and additionally because I am currently under post-op follow-up from my physician. We have a letter from him which confirms this situation.

I realize that the reservation made at this hotel was not within the timeframe for cancellation. However, this is in no way a "normal" nor possibly anticipated situation. All our other travel vendors (cruise line, Delta, tours, etc.) understood this and made an accommodation out of compassion and understanding. Regrettably, this hotel's values and consideration for it's guests apparently don't align with the rest of the other travel and hospitality industry providers we dealt with. That's a shame. When we do reschedule our trip in the future we will certainly not stay somewhere which show such a lack or understanding or humanity.

UPDATE (2022-11-04) : In their response to this review they claim they cannot refund us because "the internet travel site" doesn't allow it. This is simply not true. As was explained to them various times, that site has agreed to refund us IF the hotel will agree to this refund. At the suggestion of this booking site, we contacted the hotel directly via email and telephone, on multiple occasions, and explained this to them. They continue to blame it on the booking site, even though the booking site has agreed to refund us.if the hotel gives their approval. They should be honest and stop the misleading and false statements. They have chosen to not agree to this refund because they want to make an easy few hundred dollars. Period. There is no obstacle to the refund other than their refusal to agree to it.
