Absolutely horrible experience with them! They take advantage of Americans and then leave you to suffer!
My flight got cancelled to Lisbon from Madrid and there was no way of getting to Lisbon for another 2 days unless we drove.
Enterprise rented out a car to us to drive to Lisbon. They refused to give us a copy of the contract in the airport, but said they would email. Since we were desperate, we accepted.
When we got to Lisbon, they had not sent us the contract. I was on the phone for 30 min asking for them to send the contract. When they finally sent it, it had the WRONG drop off location. Therefore Lisbon would not accept the car. We tried calling Enterprise’s office in Madrid, were on hold for 30 minutes and then they hung up on us. After that, every time we called they would hang up on us. We had to reach out to their higher ups all night to try to find a solution, with very little help.
We were in a foreign country stuck with a car and the only solution was to drive back to Spain to drop off the car.
Luckily Lisbon’s (NOT Madrid’s) office found the original documentation that had Lisbon as the drop off location and we were able to drop the car off a day later.
Madrid’s office continued to charge us for a late fee, arguing we could not find the Lisbon office the day of the drop off and that’s why were late so I couldn’t even dispute the charge.
Moral of the story.they have horrendous customer service that will purposefully ignore you if something goes wrong AND then blame it on you by charging you more money! Our short vacation in Lisbon was ruined by Enterprise in Madrid’s Airport.
I caution any travelers from using this company.
Estuve el lunes 23 de septiembre al medio día. Me trataron perfectamente, muy amables y atentos conmigo todos y con todos los clientes que estuvieron allí mientras yo esperaba mi turno.
Luego me dieron todas las facilidades del mundo y encima me dieron a elegir si quería coche automático (que es lo que conduzco habitualmente) al hacer un simple comentario mientras preparaban la entrega, mientras Mutua Madrileña (que gracias por todo también a ellos) me dejaban gratuitamente un coche de sustitución mientras el mío se quedaba en el taller a través de Enterprise. Sin duda muy contenta con el servicio y como te entregan de limpio y nuevo el coche explicándote y ayudándote exhaustivamente todo acerca del coche que te entregan.
Got charged because the car had a problem while i was renting it in May, was not something i caused but whatever.but then they double charged me and i am still trying to get the double charge fixed with my credit card company because the customer service at enterprise is god awful. Enterprise is a trash company.i've also asked for documents because my insurance needs them for the claim as well and they literally struggle to send files, i have been waiting months and now they do not even answer emails at all. I would give it zero stars if i could.
There is a few thing i would like to share about enterprice, for good and bad:
1.when I got to the desk of enterprise and the car doesnt wait for me at the parking lot, although I order it 2 month before, and make me 1 hour delay.
2. In the desk they ask me if I perfer the car automatic or manual, i got the opposite of what I asked.
3.after 10 hours that I returned
back the car, I recieve a phone call from the desk about problem at the car (I alredy got back to my contry!) and they tried to charge me with 1600euro, about something that went wrong in the back of the car, which is a lie, thay said they tried to fix it by themselves, which is wrong according the insurance company.
4.like any car company, thay tried to make with me "deal" and to pay almost 500 euro at the desk for insurance.usually im not given bad recomndation but that company make me get back home and be Frustrated about that sitoustion, I
hope that you will not fall in to this fraud.
My preferred car rental company. I got what I reserved. And also returned what I got. Fair deal and good prices.
Son amables pero quiero alquilar un día más y la central de reservas dice q tengo q hablar con Enterprise del aeropuerto pues el coche salió de ahí. Llevo todo el día llamando, da linea y nadie coge el teléfono
me tocará ir personalmente hasta alli con el tiempo y molestias q conlleva
Contratamos servicio recomendados por amiga que vive en madrid, todo funcionó perfectamente, hasta qué al regresar. Argentina ingresa un cargo en la tarjeta, diciendo que no habíamos devuelto el auto como correspondía sino 13 días después. Imposible llegar a una soluçion, consejo, pidan por escrito conformidad de entrega y estado del vehículo, la buena fe acá no funciona. Recibieron las llaves y el auto pero como estaban con mucha gente dijeron que estaba todo ok, que no era necesario ningún otro trámite. A las horas regresamos a Argentina, o sea el auto lo uso alguien, ya que no estábamos en España. No alquilamos nunca más con.la empresa, nunca atendieron los teléfonos, solo por mail y sin solucionar nada.
