Gourmet Madrid Tours

This was such a fun and delicious tour. I took this tour my first night/time in Madrid, and it gave me a good intro to the area as well as which tapas to order. Manfred was a fun tour guide, and it was great meeting such a diverse group from around the world.

We booked this tour based on the reviews written by other customers and were not disappointed. The start of the tour was quite early (9.30) and left on time despite one person not turning up. There were only 7 of us on the tour (all English speaking). We had about a 45 min coach trip to the first winery. We visited 3 wineries and at each one had a short tour of the areas where they make the wine and then had glass of each of their wines, I must say that they were quite generous with the samples (about 100 mls each time. And drinking was encouraged. The prices if you wanted to buy the wines were very reasonable and the wie quality was very good. This was not a snobby tour with a focus on the traditional methods of wine. All wineries were very small and family run and two of the three owners did not speak English so our guide had to translate everything - which he did very well. We returned to Madrid in time for a siesta. Well done and highly recommended.

Great fun! A great way to meet others traveling to Spain and to learn more about the cuisine, history, city and of course the wines. Enrique was a super great guide.

Enrique was a fantastic guide who mixed local history with amazing food as well as fantastic wines and vermouth. We visited family owned places that would not stand out to non locals but offered warm welcome, terrific specialty dishes and bespoke wines. This was a highlight of Madrid for us and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid.

I was disappointed in most of the food choices. I liked about three dishes out of all the stops we made. The tour guide was fine. Also would have preferred to be seated in to eat. A couple of place were high tables standing only.

A great night. The tour group consisted of from very nice people from Scotland, UK, US and Mexico. Our tour guide Carlos is gregarious and knowledgeable. The wines were good and the delicious Tapas was very filling. Some walking is involved, but the locations were within blocks of each other with the tour ending at the beautiful Plaza Mayor.

We did the tapas and wine tour, and had a amazing experience. Our guide, Carlos, was excellent, and obviously knew his stuff, as both the range and variety of tapas and wine were interesting, every stop was different and gave us a real taste of Madrid. There were four stops on the tour, and we were getting to the " full" stage by the end of stop 2, so if you're going to do this, skip lunch! The group we went with were a lot of fun, which also added to the experience. We've done a few of these food tours in different places, and we both agreed that this was the best one yet. Highly recommended.

This was a fabulous tour! Easily walkable, we visited four restaurants/tapas bars and enjoyed wine and tapas at each. Our tour guide, Carlos, was knowledgeable about the food, wine, and history of Madrid. Would highly recommend this tour!

I took this tour the day I arrived in Madrid and it was probably my favorite part of the trip! Carlos was very knowledgeable and fun! He explained everything we ate and drank and I really felt like I was a part of the local Madrid culture. I would highly recommend this tour!

My wife and I enjoyed a great night with Carlos and our other Gourmet Madrid tourers. With such a huge choice of bars in Madrid it was great seeking out 4 of the best under Carlos’ guidance. The tour was well organised and around a relatively compact area meaning more time eating and drinking than walking. We went to some great places enjoying a great selection of wines and some really tasty bites to eat, at the end of the night we’d had 4 drinks and enough food to fill us up. Highly recommended!
