This was the worst housing service i experienced. They might have well located apartments, an office in Gran Via and all the resources to provide the best acommodation service in Madrid, but part of the staff was really incopentent.

I received the room with nearly broken furniture that took weeks to be replaced, mice on winter, cockroaches on summer, a pipe breaking in the middle of the night and flooding the entire aparment, one wrong electricity bill costing 10.000 euros in total that took me months to solve pretty much BY MYSELF because the agency was so negligent that they didn't notice that the previous bills (from the previous months that i wasn't living there) weren't counting neither charging for the electricity. Those were just some of the issues i experienced in their apartments.

I understand that accidents such as the flood or the problem with the electricity counter can happen and old buildings are constanly needing reparis, but the way the flat managers handled that last year was awful, specially when it comes to a service so expensive.

I sincerely hope you can improve, Helphousing.

Pasé mi Erasmus en un piso compartido de HelpHousing. Nunca tuve problemas con ellos. Estoy totalmente satisfecho con el servicio y sobre todo con Natalia.

Pros:
- Very easy to find a flat from abroad and you know you won't be scammed
- Good service like buying new pots or a new couch table for the flat

Cons:
- Very expensive administration fee, I don't understand what for
- When moving in, there were still stickers on the wall and stains in the bathroom

Overpriced, unhuman terms and noisy apartments
I had a bad experience with help housing.
Firstly, they sell rooms through other platforms, so not only you have to pay the Admin fee (which is one time your rent) but I had to pay 1,5× the price because I booked the room over the other platform.
Secondly, I was quite unsatisfied with my room and living experience. The room was very tiny (looks at the Fotos very big). Furthermore the walls in the apartments are very thin, so don't rent one of the apartments if you noise-sensitive!
Thirdly, I asked the staff after having a bad experience with my roommates to change the apartment two times! Eventhough they have available rooms, they don't change you. The always follow their "contract terms", which mean for each change you need to have a new contract with them, pay the admin fees again (one time of your rent!) and stay minimum 3 months. I was in a really bad situation and they still sticked to their unhuman contract terms. Also, some staff said I can move and then apparently it was not possible. Everybody told me something different. I felt very confused and frustrated at the end.
For me, I really do not recommend to stay with this agency.

Se trata de una agencia que no tiene en cuenta a las familias que viven en los inmuebles. Acaban degenerando en drogas, alcohol, fiestas generando mucho ruido y grandes molestias a los vecinos. Se trata de pisos ilegales que ofrecen para lucro propio a costa de terceros.

I did my internship abroad for a semester in Madrid and got a great place to stay, super well located, through helpHousing. Props to our property manager Ivan who was always there to help!

Help housing can be a little disorganized on details, but overall the people are nice and I loved my flat and the cleaning service is lovely

I was a tenant for a year and my experience was really good. The flat was refurbished a year before, the kitchen was well equiped and everything worked perfectly. If there is any inconvenience they try to solve it as soon as possible.

I highly recommend it.

Patricia is a really nice flat manager! Very welcoming and easy to talk to. If there was any problems in the flat, Patricia was very quick to solve it, and it did make my exchange year a lot easier and more smooth. Thank you!

For Madrid, I do not recommend
Nobody was here for my check in, i had to call the emrgency number and go to their office to get my keys.
I signed a contract for 4 months but they asked me to leave the room after 2 months because they wanted to do some work in the flat. I've been warned for this only 20 days before so it was very difficult to find an other flat for only 2 months (especially during summer).
The flat manager was very disapointing and his way to deal with problems is not professionnal at all.
Also, the "cleaning service" we pay for is a joke.

Ho vissuto a Madrid per sei mesi in una casa con sei camere da letto e mi sono trovata davvero bene con questa agenzia. La stanza era esattamente come si poteva vedere dal sito internet, la casa spaziosa e pulita, e la manager è stata sempre disponibile a rispondere ad ogni dubbio. Pienamente soddisfatta di questa scelta.

Estuve alquilando una habitación en Madrid por 6 meses, helphousing como empresa no me gustó la experiencia de atención al cliente, sin embargo doy buena calificación porque al final han cambiado de flat manager al piso, siendo la nueva Patricia que siempre estaba dispuesta en ayudar y solucionar, además de tener una excelente actitud.

I've arranged my room via Helphousing and they provided me an excellent service. At first, I was pretty skeptical about the website and organization, but after webinar in which they mentioned Helphousing, I booked my room immediatly. Also, Kathy, my flatmanager was always easily to reach. No hassle of calling or whatsoever, just a simple WhatsApp text. Great experience!

Tras hosperdarme un semestre completo con Helphousing, puedo decir que fue una experiencia muy positiva. Todo funcionó con bastante profesionalismo, soluciones rápidas y constante asistencia de parte del flat manager. En cuanto al lugar, todo muy cómodo y remodelado, lo que hizo mi estadía muy buena, donde hice grandes amigos de distintos países de Europa. Lo recomiendo totalmente.

I had a very carefully & efficient flatmanager (Vianney), but HelpHousing doesn’t allow noise after 23h with their audio recording box. Be careful.

Tuve una muy buena experiencia con la agencia HelpHousing puesto que me recibieron bien desde el inicio, obtuve toda la información necesaria y la comunicación con mi dueña Kathy fue estupenda. Siempre me respondió rápidamente a mis mensajes atendiéndome cuando lo necesitaba. De todos modos, recomiendo HelpHousing a todos los estudiantes extranjeros en búsqueda de un alojamiento en Madrid.

I really recommend HelpHousing for people studying or working abroad!
I spent 5 months in Madrid, renting a room in one of their apartaments. The location was perfect - strict center, really safe and close to everything. Moreover the apartment had an amazing view at Plaza Major! During my stay, whenever needed, I could rely on Catherina, the flat manager, who helped with every doubt/issue. Big thanks to her, she was always professional, friendly and ready to help quickly with every little problem.

Had an amazing time. Help housing is very clear and has great service. Couldn't have had better housemates and the location (plaza Santa Ana) was perfect. Thank you Caterina for being such a great landlord. If you ever trying to find a room for your exchange I would recommend help housing.
